The top minor-pro affiliate of the NHL's Boston Bruins got over the .500 mark at the Dunk with the 4-2 win to get their record to 11-10-2-2 in Providence. The Providence Bruins certainly had a tough time over the weekend against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers who they played a home and home series win. The B's earned a point but lost the overall game in overtime 2-1. The only Bruins goal scorer was Zach Senyshyn who scored his 4th of the season. Although this was a very chippy game that carried on from the previous game in Springfield winning the road contest 5-4 in overtime. The Providence club traveled to Springfield, Ma. to play cross-state border rival the Springfield Thunderbirds at the MassMutual Center on Saturday night December 14th. On this night the special teams were on point with a stellar effort with two power-play goals along with two shorthanded goals.
