Although this was a very chippy game that carried on from the previous game in Springfield winning the road contest 5-4 in overtime. Providence goaltender Dan Vladar who returned to the B's lineup after six weeks with a high ankle sprain on December 1st stopped 42 of 42 Thunderbirds shots earning his 2nd shutout of the season and 2nd No-No in his last four games.
