Artemi Panarin scored twice, Mika Zibanejad had one goal and two assists, and Vladimir Tarasenko and Jacob Trouba each had one goal and one assist for the Rangers (40-19-10), who won their third straight. Chris Kreider also scored, and Patrick Kane and K'Andre Miller each had two assists for New York, which had six players with at least two points. The Rangers (40-19-10) came off a 4-2 win against the Penguins at the Garden on Thursday, and are 5-0-1 in their past six. New York is five points behind the New Jersey Devils for second place in the Metropolitan Division. Tristan Jarry allowed four goals on 17 shots before being replaced by Casey DeSmith (five saves) with 13:17 remaining in the second period. Pittsburgh (34-25-10) has lost three games in a row in regulation, and was shut out for the second time this season (6-0 at the Los Angeles Kings on Feb. 11). Zibanejad gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead at 5:10 of the first period with a low backhanded shot past Jarry. Panarin made it 2-0 at 19:49, scoring a power-play goal off a short side shot from the left circle. Tarasenko scored the first of four New York goals in the second period at 3:54, making it 3-0 on a one-timer off a back and forth passing sequence with Zibanejad. Kreider made it 4-0 at 6:43, redirecting Patrick Kane's backhanded pass through the slot past Jarry. DeSmith replaced Jarry after Kreider's goal, but Trouba's high shot from below the right circle went in off his mask to make it 5-0 New York at 8:39. Panarin scored again for the 6-0 final at 16:38, playing Kane's pass off his left skate to his stick and then into the net from below the left hash marks.

New York Rangers at New Jersey Devils pregame! 4-5-2022 The Rangers we all know, that the 5 on 5 scoring has been a problem all season, but recently it has been very good. New additions like Andrew Copp and Frank Vatrano are providing scoring. And the Rangers now need to solve a few things of their own. The defensive structure has slipped a little bit from this team and I think tonight would be a good stepping stone, for them to turn that around and take a step forward. No Jack Hughes for the Devils, so that threat is already isolated. The Rangers need to play good team defense and they also need a good PK, the rangers have struggled on the PK receently, they were 3 for 3 on the PK last game vs philly. So tonight is the night for strong team defense. The New Jersey Devils are last in the metro division thanks to the Philadelphia Flyers beating the New York Rangers, so for the 2nd straight game the Rangers will be playing the last team in the division. The Devils have 54 points and have been playing some weird hockey, they were down 3-0 against the New York Islanders last game, they lose 4-3. they were up 6-2 against the Florida Panthers on saturday and lost the game in OT thanks to a panthers comeback in the 3rd.
