#GrizHoops vs. Idaho Highlights [Big Sky Tournament] - 3/10/21

Playing on the opening day of the Big Sky Conference tournament for the first time since 2010, the No. 6 seed Grizzlies got their feet under them with a 69-64 win over No. 11 seed Idaho. Montana fell behind early, 11-2, before rattling off 27 of the next 34 points to build a double-digit lead. The Grizzlies led for the final 29 minutes, despite Idaho cutting the score to three points with 31 seconds to play. Sophomore Josh Vazquez scored a career-high 21 points, in addition to four steals. Montana put together its most complete performance of the season, beating a hot Weber State team, 80-67. The 80 points were a regulation season high against DI competition, while the 67 points were 18 below the Wildcats' season average, who entered the game ranked seventh nationally for scoring offense. Montana earned an improbable victory over Portland State on Thursday, with Robby Beasley III nailing a 30-foot shot at the buzzer to send the game into overtime. Montana won despite trailing for 37 minutes of regulation, and trailing by three points, without the ball, with under 10 seconds to play. Coming off of a career night at Sacramento State, Mack Anderson talked about the performance with Riley Corcoran, the Voice of the Griz. After playing limited time over the past month, Anderson scored 12 points on 5-of-5 shooting in Montana's 78-66 road win. #GrizHoops vs. Northern Arizona Highlights - 1/14/21

Montana jumped out to a 17-0 lead just more than 4 minutes into Thursday's game vs. Northern Arizona and never trailed, winning 67-56. The Grizzlies shot .512 from the floor and had 15 assists on 22 made baskets. Sophomores Josh Vazquez (15 points) and Kyle Owens (13) were in double figures for scoring, as was senior Michael Steadman, who recorded his second consecutive double-double (13 points, 11 rebounds).
