The Swedes failed to find the net in Stockholm against Denmark last Saturday, and once again they struggled in front of goal as Sebastian Larsson celebrated his 100th cap by captaining Janne Andersson's side. Seeking to hit the home side on the break, Peru had the best of the chances in the opening 45 minutes but Viktor Claesson almost put Sweden ahead just before the break with a superb scissor-kick. With Paolo Guerrero leading the line, the Peruvians countered with speed, quickly changing the point of attack when they won the ball as they broke forward in numbers. The Swedes suffered a scare midway through the second half as first-choice goalkeeper Robin Olsen, who missed most of the spring due to a broken collar bone, landed heavily, but after treatment he was able to continue. Andersson will have been happy to see injury-plagued midfielder Albin Ekdal's fine passing display, but it was Peru's Ricardo Gareca who was by far the happier of the two coaches at the final whistle. Sweden kick off their World Cup in Russia against South Korea on June 18 before going on to meet Germany and Mexico in Group F. Peru begin their Group C campaign against Sweden's Nordic neighbours Denmark on June 16 before going on to meet France and Australia.

The Bayern Munich striker smashed in their opener from 25 yards and Piotr Zielinski doubled the lead from Kamil Grosicki's low cross on 34 minutes. Diego Valdes then headed home Angelo Saga's cross four minutes later. And Miiko Albornoz hit a wonderful equaliser from outside the box for Chile, who did not qualify for Russia. Poland, who are in Group H with Senegal, Colombia and Japan, play Lithuania in a final friendly on Tuesday.

The closest that Panama got to doing damage their final World Cup warm-up came in the form of a string of hacks that stopped Norway adding to an early Joshua King strike. But it took until the 70-minute mark, by which time they'd bored their opponents into a slumber, to look anything like a side that might just fleetingly trouble England in their second Group G game in Nizhny Novgorod. Worse still for Panama was the sight of talismanic skipper Gabriel Gomez limping off late on. Pointing to the top of his leg, Gomez did not look to be in the kind of trouble that would cause him to miss his nation's opener against Belgium in 12 days. Los Canaleros can't afford to be without Gomez, who directed his troops around as they tried to nullify the likes of impressive Fulham midfielder Stefan Johansen. The closest the visitors came to scoring in the first half came with their only shot, which Fidel Escobar firing straight down the throat of Grytebust. Just the third shot of the game came five minutes after the break when Norway defender Tore Reginiussen saw his close-range header blocked. A torturous affair livened up when Ismail Diaz's blocked shot fell kindly for Panama Gabriel Torres, who fired just to the left of goal. Norway should have killed the game when Ola Kamara incredibly blazed over from five yards out, before Iver Fossum curled wide another good chance. Panama have now failed to win in all five pre-World Cup friendlies against European nations, only avoiding defeats with draws against under-strength Wales and Northern Ireland sides. If they turn over England, it might just be the biggest World Cup upset of all time.
