This has allowed his son Scott turner to get his first experience at calling plays. He has showed some promise by getting the ball to Christian McCaffrey, DJ Moore, and Curtis Samuel in very creative ways that his father did not. Baker Mayfield Leads Cleveland Browns Win | Jets vs Browns Reaction Thursday Night Football put the Cleveland Browns and the New York Jets in a head to head match up. We did not know this going in, but the game ended up being a battle of the top 2 quarters backs from the NFL Draft, Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold. The Jets came out hot, but after Browns Quarterback Tyrod Taylor left the game in the 2nd quarter with a concussion, the #1 overall pick was forced to enter. Mayfield lead the team on a huge comeback win after trailing by 14 points early. He used Jarvis Landry, Carlos Hyde, and Antonio Callaway heavily as the Browns 19 game losing streak came to an end. Head Coach Hue Jackson has been under a lot of fire after his coaching style was exposed during HBO Hard Knocks this summer, but getting his 2nd win in 2 years has to be a relief.
