Rovers suffer a 3-2 defeat on Lancashire derby day against Preston; after taking a 2 goal lead it’s so frustrating to see the game end like that- but we did bring it on ourselves with a lackluster second half performance. Morecambe leave empty handed on the Away trip to the Sands-view stadium against a Scunthorpe United side that were yet to win a game this season. No doubt a big week up ahead for the shrimps facing Walsall and Oldham who are both just above the relegation zone so points have to be picked up. Good to travel to another ground off the 92, next Saturday I will be at Morecambe v Oldham at boundary park for what has the makings of a really good game. We get our first win of the season today in our well deserved 1-0 victory over Hull City away at the KCOM stadium (Goal from Bradley Dack). It's nice to get three points on the board and it puts us in good stead for our home match on Wednesday against Reading. Our round one cup tie against league 2 side Carlisle United turned into a 5-1 hammering today as Dack, arma and Palmer get their names on the scoresheet. This is perhaps one of the biggest wins that rovers have had for a decade or so! We will find out soon who we will face in round 2 but before then we will have our league fixture this Saturday against Hull City. Rovers get back to winning ways tonight as we managed a comfortable 2-0 win over Bradford City at Ewood Park thanks to goals from Bradley Dack and Craig Conway. Overall it was a very good team performance and with Mulgrew and Graham both out for the game I thought that we still played very well. MOTM today was Bradley Dack who yet again put in a solid performance for rovers in midfield. The next Football MatchDay Vlog will be on Easter Monday when we travel away to MK Dons to try and pick up another three points.
