In this video, I will provide my update to the start of the Miami Heat's 2020-2021 season through 4 games.
The Miami Dolphins improve their record to 7-4, with a decisive 20-3 victory against the New York jets in the NFL's Week #12. Ryan Fitzpatrick would throw for 257 yards and 2 TD's, and Devante Parker would have a very strong game with 8 receptions for 119 yards to lead the Dolphins receiving efforts. For the Jets (0-11) it was a game that we see a strong defensive effort in the 2nd half, which could be something perhaps to build on. The Dolphins will host the Cincinnati Bengals next week, in an important AFC battle.
The Miami Heat would defeat the New York Knicks on Friday evening by a score of 129-115. Bam Adebayo would lead the Heat with 20 points and 8 rebounds. This game would mark the return of Goran Dragic, who would come off the Heat bench with 18 points and 8 assists. Duncan Robinson would contribute 18 points on 6 three pointers, and Kendrick Nunn would add 15 points and 3 assists. Derrick Jones Jr would once again look impressive with 14 points and 7 rebounds, and Tyler Herro would add 12 points. Kelly Olynk would also shine for the well-balanced Heat, as he would add 10 points and 10 rebounds off the Heat bench. The struggling Knicks were led by Bobby Portis, who would score 30 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Marcus Morris Sr would add 15 points and Mitchell Robinson would have 18 points for the Knicks, also Julius Randle would score 13 points along with 8 rebounds. The Heat will play the 2nd game of this 4 game home stand against the Utah Jazz on Monday night 12/23.
The Miami Heat continue to play well, after winning 2 out of 3 road games they would return home with a victory over the Washington Wizards and Chicago Bulls. Jimmy Butler is the clear leader of this team, playing effectively at both ends of the court. The 'injury bug' has now officially made it's presence for the Heat this year, as both Goran Dragic (last 5 games missed) and Justise Winslow (last 2 games missed) have been absent from the Heat lineup as of late. Tyler Herro has caught fire once again, combining for 49 points in the last 2 Heat wins at home, which featured a 27 point explosion in Sunday Night's overtime win against the Bulls. The Heat look to continue their winning ways on Tuesday night, as they host the Atlanta Hawks.
