The Chicago Cubs biggest offseason move was the signing of Japanese star outfielder Seiya Suzuki. But, they were MUCH busier than that when preparing for the 2022 season. Jed Hoyer and The Chicago Cubs may not have landed the biggest names in the market, but they vastly improved from last year, and did it very strategically when trying to make this team competitive again. The Chicago Bears won their 5th game of the season by defeating the Seattle Seahawks on the road, 25-24 behind a strong performance from David Montgomery and Nick Foles. Nick Foles, who was once the promised starter for the Chicago Bears, was made the 3rd string quarterback after the Chicago Bears signed Andy Dalton last March and drafted future franchise quarterback Justin Fields in April. Dalton was out with a wrist injury, and Fields was out with an ankle injury. Nick Foles was the next man up, and delivered a strong game for Matt Nagy and company. Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks were trying to keep their playoff hopes alive by defeating the Chicago Bears, but are no eliminated from playoff contention. Matt Nagy was rumored to be fired if the Bears were to lose this game. It looks like he lives another week as The Chicago Bears head coach....for now.
