Violence breaks out in the Australia vs Philippines FIBA world cup qualifying game at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue. 4 Australians and 9 Filipinos were ejected from the game as a result (Aus: Goulding, Kickert, Maker, Sobey. Phi: Abueva, Aguilar, Blatche, Castro, Cruz, Pogoy, Romeo, Rosario, Wright). In farcical scenes, the game continued with only 3 Filipino players on the court. Two of them then fouled themselves out, and the game was called off before the end of the 3rd quarter, with Australia leading 89-53.
