Sekiguchi-ryu Iaijutsu - 42nd Japanese Kobudo Demonstration (2019)

Yonehara Kameo Sensei and his students demonstrating Sekiguchi-ryu Iaijutsu during the 42nd Nihon Kobudo Embutaikai held at the Nippon Budokan on February 3rd, 2019. The event also commemorated the 40th anniversary of the Nihon Kobudo Kyokai. The school was founded by Sekiguchi Yarokuemon Ujishin as a style of Ju-jutsu. His eldest son, Sekiguchi Ujinari added the sword techniques that constituted the style Iai-jutsu. During the Tokugawa period the Sekiguchi-ryu spread throughout Japan. Later the school was split into the Sekiguchi-ryu Ju-jutsu, which maintains the empty hands techniques (but, still practicing a small part of the techniques of sword) and the Sekiguchi-ryu Iai-jutsu that teaches the complete curriculum of the techniques armed of the school. --- SUBSCRIBE --- http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=SenNoSenProject --- SUPPORT MY WORK --- You can help me produce more videos via donations on: - Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/guillaumeerard - Tipee: https://www.tipeee.com/guillaumeerard-fr-vie-au-japon-et-budo You can also support me by sharing my videos with your friends and spreading the word about our work. --- CREDITS --- - Writing, cinematography, music and editing by Guillaume Erard (http://www.guillaumeerard.com) --- ABOUT ME --- I am a martial arts enthusiast (5th Dan Aikido, 3rd Dan Daito-ryu Aiki-jujutsu) living in Tokyo, Japan, and I create videos and documentaries about Aikido and Budo.
