The Vermont Catamounts scored a season-high 22 goals to earn their first league win of the year with a 22-14 victory over visiting Binghamton in America East women's lacrosse action at Moulton Winder Field on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Samantha Stern (Cherry Hill, N.J.) led the Catamounts with four goals and two assists. Senior Sara Buxton (Northfield, Ill.) also added four goals. Senior Alison Haigh (Northborough, Mass.) and sophomore Natalie Jones (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) each potted hat tricks.

Sophomore Scott Darling stopped 31 shots as the Black Bears improved to 12-9-2 (9-6-1 HEA) with the win. The Catamounts fell to 12-9-2 (6-8-2 HEA) with the loss.
