Baseball: Sam Houston State Recap, April 22
Sophomore starter Cody Davenport sits down with The Bear 91.3's Steve Owens to discuss the Bears' sweep of a doubleheader with Sam Houston State on Saturday. Davenport started game two and allowed just three earned runs and struck out six in the complete-game victory. In game one, Davenport pinch hit and singled to begin the 10th inning. Josh Somdecerff pinch ran for Davenport and eventually scored the game-winning run on a Jansen McCurdy single. The Bears and Bearkats wrap up the series Sunday at 1 p.m.

Baseball: Northwestern State Recap, April 23
KUCA's Steve Owens talks to Logan Preston after the Bears' 6-3 win over Northwestern State on Saturday. Preston went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Starter Cody Davenport went 6 2/3 innings, allowed eight hits and three runs and struck out six. Derek Beier came on and threw 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief. He allowed three hits and struck out two. The series finale is Sunday at 1 p.m.
Softball: Northwestern State Highlights
Highlights from a big UCA softball sweep of Northwestern State this weekend. Senior catcher Jessie Taylor set the UCA career home run record with a solo shot in the third inning of the second game of the series. Also, coach David Kuhn was honored for his 600th career win, which he earned March 29 in a win over Jackson State. Next up for the Bears is Oklahoma State at Farris Field on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
Softball: Southeastern Louisiana Highlights
Highlights from Central Arkansas' series with Southeastern Louisiana from this past weekend. The Bears took the series on Friday night, winning a doubleheader 8-1 and 10-7. They dropped the finale 2-0. The Bears are sitting in second place in the Southland Conference standings at 14-4 in the league. They return to Farris Field tonight at 6 p.m. to take on Mississippi Valley State.
