Newcastle United v Crystal Palace Premier League Match Preview. More of the same please!! Crystal Palace travel to St. James' Park to face Newcastle United in the Premier League. Newcastle will certainly want to continue from where they left off after a fantastic performance against Everton in their last game. Palace also had a good result last time out with three points against Wolves. Will Newcastle United line up in a 4-3-3 or a 4-3-2-1? I don't see them even thinking about going back to five at the back. Another three points for the geordies will see them pull away even further from the Premier League relegation zone. Absolutely embarrassing performance from Newcastle United at Bramall Lane in this Premier League encounter. Sheffield United hadn't won a Premier League game this season but Steve Bruce still decided to play 5 at the back! Disgraceful decision!! It is very clear now that his luck has well and truly ran out and he's been completely found out. Newcastle United 0 Liverpool 0 Premier League Match Review. What a difference a few days can make! Newcastle United entertained Liverpool at SJP in the Premier League and actually turned up for once. The Premier League champions were given a very tough match by a very passionate Newcastle United. Brilliant defending and fantastic goalkeeping played a major part in Newcastle United getting a point but they also tested Liverpool in parts and showed a real desire to get something from the game. Newcastle United 2 WBA 1 Premier League Match Review. Newcastle United took another three points to move to 11th in the Premier League at St. James' Park. It was a very strange game as Newcastle United took the lead after only 20 seconds but then decided to sit back and let WBA have the ball. However, after WBA equalised Steve Bruce decided to go on the front foot and made some very attacking changes which actually changed the game. Dwight Gayle returned from a long time injury to score a brilliant header which ended up being the winner and bagging Newcastle United the 3 points in the Premier League.
