This NBA Star broke Kobe Bryant’s nose and Kobe trash talked and then made him instantly regret it. #nba #kobe #dwyanewade #revenge #regret Instagram- @MJ2K_ALLDAY Twitter- @mj2kallday There was a time where Kobe Bryant had to wear a mask. Another NBA star had broken his nose, and Kobe made him regret that. There have been a lot of players who wore the mask. There’s masked Kyrie, masked LeBron, masked Westbrook. It’s something about that mask that’s special. Kyrie had a career high 41, LeBron dominated in a career high 61 points, Westbrook dropped a 49 point triple double. It’s that tunnel vision that comes from not being able to see in your peripherals, but that sometimes brings the best out of players, it simplifies the game so that you’re not taking in all the information, you just focus on one thing and that’s getting the ball in the basket. Kobe isn’t one of those players that let’s go of anything and Dwyane Wade found out the hard way. Kobe and Wade have had a competitor relationship. Both respect each other as players and what they’ve done on the court. They got into a few scuffles here and there but neither backed down. Wade came into the league admiring Kobe who had multiple championships when Wade was a rookie, Kobe called Wade for advice on attacking pick and rolls in the playoffs when Wade didn’t make the playoffs. And then in 2009, Kobe hit this game winner on the Heat and Wade, a ridiculous shot that left Wade asking, how did he do that? Kobe answered with a simple, “Mamba Mentality”. And then there was 2012. On February 26, 2012, the 2012 NBA All-Star Game was happening. Now if you wanna take a trip down memory lane, this is when 38 year old Steve Nash made the All-Star Game, Dwight Howard was talking to trash to Kobe, Deron Williams and Luol Deng were actually relevant. (Wow) It was a different time. As the game is going along, both Wade and Kobe are doing their own things, Wade throwing up countless lobs, Kobe making tough shots. Now this is also a time where there was some defense played in the game and so in the 3rd quarter, Kobe goes around Wade and drives to the hoop and bam, Wade fouls him, but it wasn’t any foul. Wade just hits Kobe in the face. It’s first and only ever flagrant foul in the history of the All-Star Game and that hit broke Kobe’s nose. I’m not sure what prompted Wade to go that hard or not let Kobe get an easy layup. There wasn’t any animosity between the two, sure there had been countless comparisons, both had won championships with Shaq, but this was out of character. Kobe started bleeding, but looked at it and smiled, like typical Kobe fashion. He’s crazy. He would get treated, go back in the game and the West would win. Kobe had 27 points, Wade had a triple double with 24, 10, and 10. Now the Miami Heat were scheduled to play the Lakers 3 games after the All-Star game. Wade said that he didn’t maliciously hit Kobe and so Wade calls Kobe on the phone after the game. Kobe just said “Bro, I love it.” Wade was shook, here he is, having broken the man’s nose, forcing him to wear a mask, and the guy’s telling him that he loves it? And then Kobe told Wade, “I’ll see you in a couple days.” And Wade was like (show Wade). There was already regret in his face. This is the time when the Miami Heat had LeBron James, the whole Big Three. But Kobe had declared war, in the nicest way possible. Now Wade and Kobe typically guarded each other in these matchups throughout their whole careers. So the Heat play the Lakers on March 4, 2012. And after the first minute, the masked Kobe Kobe just drives past Wade. And then he does this. He was just destroying Wade. He even got the cameraman. Fadeaways, contested jumpshots, leaners, just shooting over everyone. I don’t even know what to say. Yeah, Kobe had games like this in the past, but there was something more calculated in this game. Every bump, every move was meant to just hurt the opponent. Wade had to be switched off Kobe and Battier came in, and it didn’t matter. Kobe ended the game with 33 points on 61% shooting from the field, and he only had 3 layups and made 14 of 23 from the field. Kobe was on a mission, he wasn’t gonna let anyone stop him. On the other end, Kobe bothered Wade, Wade only finished 16 points, but more importantly, he fouled out. 2 of those 6 fouls were on Kobe and Kobe kept true to his word. The Lakers won by 10 and Wade even said that “he gave it to me”. I think that moments like these when a player declares that they gonna do something like win the game, or come after you, or make a free throw with closed eyes, and then back that up, those are special moments that just make my fall in love with the game even more. I guess the moral of the story is, don’t break Kobe’s nose cause you’re gonna instantly regret it, but what do you think? Where do Kobe and Wade rank all time?

NBA players keep disrespecting Stephen Curry, but why? @MJPLAYSALLDAY STREAMING RN, making Steph Curry in NBA 2K23 TikTok- https://www.tiktok.com/@mj_allday Twitter- @MJ2KALLDAY Steph Curry is not dominant…not in the traditional sense and for some reason, NBA players haven’t caught on. Curry is just catching strays. People are stunned to even put Curry in the conversation as the best player in the NBA right now. He’s getting disrespected by peers and NBA legends and it’s because he’s not 6’ 6”. And I stand by it. But while I was saying this in respect to the media underrating Curry, this is similar to how other NBA players are seeing it. They’ve accepted him as the greatest shooter of all time, but even that is limiting what Curry is. Give props to Shaq for giving Giannis his props early, saying he’s the best player in the world after winning a championship, and now saying Curry is the best player in the world, but for the most part players, they don’t believe Curry is able to take over the game by himself, that he needs screens, that he needs Draymond and Klay to be Steph. And sure he may not power through people, but did everyone just forget two seasons ago when he led the league in scoring averaging 32 points a game? When he was cooking everyone? Just because Curry runs through a bunch of screens doesn’t mean he also doesn’t score by himself. Curry tends to isolate less than other superstars which is why this conversation even begins. However, Steph does rank as one of the most efficient isolation players in the league. In 2020-2021 for all players averaging over 1 iso possession per game, Steph was 5th in points per iso possession. But the sample size was small simply because of the low iso frequency. It isn’t like he’s not creating shots. Let’s look at Game 4 in the NBA Finals. Moving off-ball, running off screens, these aren’t shots that were just there. These are shots created by Curry running tight routes, catching the ball the right way into the shot. But none of these are isos because Curry didn’t create a shot off the dribble. The Warriors play with a faster pace and move the ball quick, usually ranking top 5 in the NBA. Curry himself prefers to attack quickly so rather than isolate the switch, man just takes the opportunity to cook. But we can even look at something so simple as finishing. Again, Steph is not powering his way through the paint, but what he is doing is being one of the most efficient finishers in the NBA. Again, Curry isn’t a leader in drives per game, more like top 40 in the NBA, still more than a lot of player. Yet he is usually amongst the league leaders in finishing inside the paint, even shooting 70% from the paint in 2016, higher than LeBron. And again, I will always say this, if it was so easy to do what Curry does, constantly run the entire game, juking defenders without the ball, everyone would do it. And because Curry isn’t 6’ 6” or above, his size is a liability which is rightfully so. This isn’t a pound for pound conversation. However we’ve never said that about Kevin Durant while he was winning Finals MVPs. Just a double standard when it comes to Curry but I’ll admit, this is a legitiment claim. However, more players bring up the flaws in Curry’s offensive game. **But what do you think? Is Curry in the conversation for best player in the NBA?**
Was the NBA Bubble Playoffs and the Lakers championship legit? Is LeBron right, is it the toughest championship ever?
Kevin Durant requested a trade, leaving Kyrie Irving and the Nets, but why? The NBA offseason is getting wild. But the Nets stay taking Ls. They had the Big 3 in which the Nets traded away everything for a first round exit. They somehow rebuilt with nothing, got two superstars, traded for another, and tragedy struck. This Nets Big 3 only played 16 games together. Now a huge part of that was the vaccine mandate and now that it’s gone, Kyrie should play 50-60 games and maybe what Ben Simmons said is going to be true. Sike…KD ain’t even there. **And this brings up what I’ve said years ago.** The Kyrie problem. And no it’s not being interested in other passions or even taking games off. This isn’t like Paul George and Westbrook. Durant isn’t leaving because of on-court issues. There’s a reason why KD might be open to playing with Kyrie again. He’s seen the pinnacle and he’s chasing after it again Kyrie might have the craziest sound bites in NBA history, but this video ain’t even about that. Kevin Durant has requested a trade and before we get into the whole, KD and Kyrie aren’t friends, that’s probably cap. They are still probably cool with each other, but the professional relationship didn’t work. Yet Durant has specific goals for his legacy. He’s trying to win a chip as the clear #1 on a team that clearly wouldn’t win without him, the Warriors winning really got KD scrambling. You would think that’s still the Nets with Kyrie opting in, but there’s one important factor. Kyrie is one of the most gifted players to have ever touched a basketball, but the knock on him is whether he’ll actually play. However, let’s really look at how available Kyrie has been over the past couple years. Apart from last season and the shoulder injury in 2019-20, Kyrie has played over 70% of games in the last 6 seasons. In fact, the season before covid, Kyrie played 88% of the games that season. So besides the personal time off, Kyrie has surprisingly been there in the regular season. Kyrie has missed significant chunks in the playoffs due to a knee surgery and a freak landing, What I think I’d be more worried about is his performance in the playoffs. The 2018-19 playoffs with the Celtics was horrible (show Kyrie lowlight from the 2019 playoffs). Kyrie had 9 points in Game 2 against the Bucks and only 15 in elimination. Now we saw a haphazard Nets this last playoffs. But we’ve also seen Kyrie still have big games in the playoffs like Game 1 against the Celtics. While basketball players are meant to be professionals, this doesn’t mean that they don’t have personal feelings that can get in the way of chemistry. Kyrie is well aware of the optics. I said this years ago and I will play the clip again. Kyrie has seen chaotic leadership work. Promises to Kyrie have been broken and he’s broken promises. To Kyrie, the NBA is now a business that he can choose to be a part of. But this uncertainty is what ruins chemistry. How can Nets players take Kyrie’s word seriously when he said the same thing to Boston? The issue with Kyrie isn’t that he’ll miss games. The issue is that the Nets don’t have a true leader. Kevin Durant is a hooper. Man doesn’t care about anything but hoops. Kyrie and KD on the court don’t have chemistry issues, but this attitude clearly drove Harden away. Harden was like nah, I ain’t sign up for this and peaced out. On a team like the Suns or Heat, there are veterans who will speak up, who’ll help control a locker room. Any players on the Nets don’t know if Kyrie is really rocking with them. They don’t know if this guy is truly giving it his all or whether he’s looking for the next way out. It’s the same pressure teammates feel when LeBron is on a team and they don’t know whether LeBron is going to trade them or leave if they don’t play well. That’s another part of culture. There was no one to reign in Kyrie or even Durant himself. The Heat have Pat Riley and that man told LeBron to shut up and listen to Spoelstra, got Shaq to lose weight, this man don’t care. Monty Williams is a strong coach who can get a lot out of role players. The Nets didn’t have anyone like that. So maybe Kyrie and KD in another setting is actually better. Maybe that offsets Kyrie’s issues, maybe that organization already has a leader that gives structure and KD can just go hoop. Most of Kyrie teammates have stated that they don’t have any issues with Kyrie, in fact they liked him, but a few have come up to say they haven’t understood him. On the Cavs, Kyrie wouldn’t even talk to his teammates during certain playoff stretches. Man’s wylin. We saw it on the Celtics in 2018-19 when they kept losing, they couldn’t adjust. The Nets front office has also faltered. Not truly standing behind players and the players noticed, but again very normal for Kyrie and very normal for LeBron.
Stephen Curry winning NBA Finals MVP doesn’t change anything and here’s why. Stephen Curry will never win a title. Steph Curry can’t carry a team. You can’t win by just shooting 3s. Curry is past his prime. The Warriors only won because of KD. Curry’s a playoff choker. Curry is not dominant… **Yeah Curry put that to sleep.** The Warriors won a championship and Stephen Curry won a finals MVP. The entirety of mainstream media has branded this narrative that Stephen Curry is a playoff choker. This video was posted by ESPN 2 years ago and lemme guess, it’s showing 2016 which is not great. We hold him to this high standard because Curry is knocking on the door of being a top 10 player all-time, but this playoff choker narrative has followed him. Stephen Curry has actually holds some ridiculous clutch playoff records. Curry holds the most, second most, and 5th most points scored in a 4th quarter in the NBA finals in the 2010s. More than LeBron, Kyrie, KD, Kawhi, and even his own teammate Klay. That espn video showed Curry missing this shot in Game 4 against the Blazers in 2016. And what about in 2016 in Game 5 against the Blazers. The game goes to overtime and well Curry had the MOST POINTS in NBA history in overtime with 17. 17 points in 5 minutes to send the Blazers home. But let’s really look at Curry in the playoffs and NBA finals because he’s actually one of the greatest playoff performers ever. I’ve made a video explaining the 2016 NBA Finals, how Curry has acknowledged years later that his knee was no where near 100% and that he felt like he couldn’t drive by Love quick enough before the help came so he settled for that 3. But no excuse, Curry choked. The turnovers, the missed 3s. But for that to rewrite some of the playoffs and finals records is like saying LeBron’s 2011 NBA finals means that he chokes in the playoffs like he didn’t rename Toronto LeBronto. To disprove the narrative, let’s see how inconsistent Curry’s finals performances have really been. I could say he was the first player in NBA history to average 26 and 6 assits in an NBA Finals and not win finals mvp and he’s done it 3 times. That’s consistent but you’re looking for game to game. We can use a general metric like Gamescore to see, the same metric Jxmyhighroller used to find the best game ever. I took an average of all the game scores in the finals of the greatest players, Durant has the highest average, part of that is him being right next to Curry and getting open dunks…Jordan is second, LeBron in 10 finals has consistently been amazing except for 2011. Magic and Larry are not too far off, Shaq’s dominance still shows up here. Where’s Curry? Right here. Smack in the middle. Among the greatest of the greatest NBA players in NBA history. That doesn’t scream bad playoff performer. In fact, that just means he’s like most finals performers. Curry has 6 games in 6 finals in which he has a single digit game score. He had 4 games under 5. Jordan’s lowest game score was 7.7, only 2 games in 6 finals with single digit game scores, and has multiple series where his game score never went below 17. LeBron’s low is 5, he has 3 single digit gamescore games, all losses. He also has not so good games but we’re talking about the worst statistical games. **However Gamescore doesn’t capture everything.** It’ll capture pure production based on points assists rebounds field goal percentages along with steals, blocks, fouls, and turnovers. That means that if you contest a lot of shots without blocking and cause misses, it won’t capture it. If you’re running around screens being a decoy, it won’t capture it. And it definitely doesn’t capture the all out defense thrown at Curry. I’m going to let this play from Jxmyhighroller’s video. **Curry’s gamescore does not reflect impact because these base stats that we package everything up in a nice digestible format, advanced stats try, but we can see it, if you want to see just check my videos on the Curry Effect or Curry having a bad game.**
