The Los Angeles Clippers moved to 4-1 after a 128-105 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night. A big part of the reason for that win was the team’s overall defense, which saw them finish with a 101.9 Defensive Rating. The Clippers also registered 13 steals and six blocks in the win. The entire team was locked in defensively from the start and displayed the type of acumen that will be needed if they’re to successfully challenge for a championship this season. This video breakdown is going to take a closer look at the team’s defense from Wednesday and see exactly just how in sync they were as a unit. Enjoy and stay safe, folks! Coming off of their 51-point loss on Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Clippers were looking to regain some of the early momentum they had after their two big wins to open the season. On Tuesday, the Minnesota Timberwolves came into STAPLES Center. And the Clippers found themselves on the winning side of the ledger, 124-101. Helping power the Clippers to the win was none other than veteran guard Lou Williams, who finished with a team-high 20 points. Williams also tallied five assists and three rebounds in his 20 minutes of action. Williams, an instant scorer off the bench, made 7-of-11 shots and got to the line six times. His ability to bend the Minnesota defense to his every whim was a sight to behold. In this video breakdown, we’re going to examine the ways that Lou Williams was able to beat the Minnesota defense with his scoring and passing. Enjoy and stay safe, folks! After a brilliant Game 1 performance by the Los Angeles Clippers, a weary Denver Nuggets team went back to the drawing board and devised up a way to give the Clippers problems in Game 2. One of the solutions? Swarm Kawhi Leonard whenever he got the ball near the mid-post and wanted to drive towards the rim. It worked beautifully for Denver as they secured a 110-101 Game 2 victory and evened the series. Leonard had one of the worst postseason performances of his entire career, finishing with just 13 points on 4-of-17 shooting en route to the loss. He did have 10 rebounds, eight assists and three steals, but that paled in comparison to his offensive woes as a scorer. This video breakdown is going to look at some of the ways that the Denver Nuggets tried to upset the timing of not Leonard and, as an extension of that, the Clippers. Enjoy and stay safe, folks. A theme throughout the course of the three scrimmage games for the Los Angeles Clippers during their time in the Orlando bubble atmosphere has been the great play of Paul George. The swingman didn't disappoint in the team's third game, totaling 19 points, four rebounds and three assists in just 28:09. George was on point with his aggressiveness off the dribble, ability to move without the ball within the flow of the offense, and even find willing shooters out of pick-and-roll action. While the shooters didn't pay dividends for the most part, it was still great to see George in action as both a scorer and passer. For the Clippers to win the title, they'll need Paul George to be at his best. In this third scrimmage game, it definitely appeared as if he was on his way to being at that level again. Yes, the NBA season has been postponed as of this time and there’s really not much going on but that doesn’t mean I still can’t give you all a video to hold you over for a few days. You will get one of these every five days until the season resumes. In this video, we’re going to look at Kawhi Leonard’s pick-and-roll passing both to rollers and spot-up targets. Only good defensive teams are shown in this video since those would be the teams Leonard and the Clippers would see in the postseason if the season ever resumes. Enjoy! After a tough loss for the Los Angeles Clippers against the cross-hall rival Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday afternoon, the Clippers took to the court Tuesday evening to face off against the hapless Golden State Warriors. Paul George set the tone en route to a 15-point outing for him en route to a 24-point victory by the Clippers. He also had five assists. However, it was his first quarter work that was quite special and that’s exactly what we’re going to look at in this video. Enjoy!
