Blackburn Rovers v Wigan Athletic FA Cup 3rd Round 3rd January 1998

Blackburn were flying high at the top of the Premier League at the time, with Latics in Division Two (now League One). Over 5000 Latics fans made the journey, in what must be one of our biggest ever away followings. Manager at the time was John Deehan, with Roberto Martinez playing in midfield and putting through the ball for David Lee for Latics first goal. Manager of Blackburn was Roy Hodgson, who tried to belittle Latics great 2nd half comeback attempt by claiming Blackburn could have won 10-0.
