On today's episode, Zach "SchuZ" Schumaker welcomes on 2019 FIBA U18 bronze medalist, 1-time Junior Spanish Championship MVP, 1-time champion of the ANGT, and 2022 NBA Draft prospect: Žiga Samar. Žiga and SchuZ cover the span of Žiga's life from his personal vantage point: growing up in Slovenia, moving to Spain and playing for Real Madrid when he was 16 years old, signing a four-year deal with Fuenlabrada at the age of 18, being loaned to Zamora for one year, battling COVID-19 and a right-hand injury during his first year with Fuenlabrada, and what has led to his breakout season this year. Žiga talks about the pressure of being the next Slovenian NBA prospect, having a late growth spurt that led to him becoming a 6'6" point guard, winning a bronze medal in the FIBA U18 games in 2019, and the story behind barely making it across the Slovenian border before they closed it when the COVID-19 pandemic began.
