I was watching this clip of Messi and couldn’t believe how bad the field was, so I decided to look into it… Turns out, it’s worse than I ever could have imagined. This could be the most dangerous field in professional soccer. 🤕🏟️ Why? Because technically it’s not even a football pitch. For the last decade, MLS side NYCFC has shared a stadium with the New York Yankees—a less than ideal arrangement for several reasons: A. It’s too small. 70x100 yards is exact minimum size requirement to play in the MLS. B. The sod. In order to cover the infield, the club has to lay out strips of sod before almost every match. While this looks the part—it really isn’t effective, mainly because it’s not rooted to the ground, making for terrible pitch conditions whenever it’s too wet/dry. Pretty shocking this sort of thing is allowed in professional footy, but ig space is a pretty big commodity in NYC. Welp, I don’t think a lot of us expected that… Lionel Messi’s new energy drink company has officially filed a lawsuit against PRIME Hydration—the rival brand owned by influencers KSI and Logan Paul. This story is absolutely wild 👀 When Mas+ first launced back in June 2024, fans immediately pointed out how similar the packaging looked to PRIME’s, leading to comments from KSI and Logan Pauls camp that the Argentinian had copied their design. According to Mas+, PRIME even reached out to them saying they either had to change the packaging, or pull the product from shelves, which is what ultimately led to the suit being filed. Mas+ is seeking a court ruling that their packaging does NOT infringe on PRIME’s trademark, as the company initially insinuated.
