In a new 4-part weekly series, Hendon manager Lee Allinson is choosing his four defining matches since he became manager a year ago. The first match chosen was the crucial 2-1 against Beaconsfield Town - the proverbial 6-pointer. This was Lee's first match in charge. Although down to 10 men for the whole of the second half, the fighting spirit that Lee craved was evident for all to see.

He also talks about his admiration and support for goalkeeper Rihards Matrevics, who had a tough match for St Albans on Monday. Lee then shared his views on the match, with him being impressed with the first 20 minutes - and then not being impressed for the remaining 70!
A match full of talking points was won by the smallest of margins. With Hendon playing practically the whole match with 10 men, they performed incredibly throughout, and it was hard to tell which team was playing with one less player. Hendon deserved at least a point for their efforts.
