Kobe Bryant lists his favorite French NBA players outside of Ronny Turiaf. One of those players, Tony Parker, whom he really enjoyed trash talking in his own language. Full interview from BeIN SPORTS re-uploaded by RafaCris37 - https://youtu.be/oa_dSVHH3G0 Excerpt from ‘"It was an unmitigated slaughter calling out Shaq on everything" — Kobe Bryant savagely criticized Shaquille O'Neal in an unreleased statement’ article by John Jefferson Tan: During the Los Angeles Lakers’ Shaq-Kobe era, the media followed almost every beat of the two perennial All-Stars’ on-and off-the-court relationship. Sometimes, Shaq and Kobe hinted at their beef when quizzed by reporters, but the all-out verbal war apparently often happened behind the camera. However, according to Sports Illustrated’s Howard Beck, Jim Gray had an interview with Bryant where he allegedly insulted Shaq over pretty much everything with foul words. Indeed, it was quite a story. However, as reputable a sportscaster Gray was, Beck said they “never heard Kobe say it” and had never seen the piece. “Kobe famously, I think it was in their final season, had that statement that he issued through Jim Gray – which was always very strange because we never heard Kobe say it, and it wasn’t on camera or anything. Gray had a statement from Kobe that was three or four paragraphs long, and it was an unmitigated slaughter calling out Shaq on everything. It was like he saved this up for years,” Beck told HoopsHype. Beck continued, “It was about Shaq delaying his toe surgery and burning part of the season to recover from it. Shaq not being in shape. Kobe considered himself much more committed to the game. Kobe lived and breathed it and was obsessive about it. Shaq wasn’t.” Full article: https://www.basketballnetwork.net/.amp/old-school/kobe-bryant-savagely-criticized-shaquille-oneal-in-an-unreleased-statement 🏷 #francesports #overseasbasketball #tonyparker #frenchbasketball #frenchbasketballplayers #frenchbasketballplayer #overseassports #djmbenga #joakimnoah #gelabale #mickaelgelabale #pietrus #mickaelpietrus #spurs #sanantoniospurs
Kobe Bryant reacts to his dunk on Chris Paul and opens up about creating a Twitter account, but not knowing how it works yet. He also praises Chris Paul for the superstar player he is. This interview is from January 4, 2013. Full interview from lakersmobile: https://youtu.be/npdalVEwFlc Full Kobe highlights from GD’s Highlights: https://youtu.be/5j8ayNatqAA Excerpt from ‘Chris Paul has another NBA rule change to get used to’ article by Sean Beckwith: I’m not sure where the basketball play is at when Chris Paul cuts in front of a defender and stops in the middle of a fast break to get bulldozed and draw a cheap foul. Or when Harden has a straight line to the bucket and veers into the waiting big like a car into oncoming traffic. It ruined the flow of the game, and thankfully it’s been corrected. The inspiration for that adjustment came from hoops fans watching FIBA rules basketball at the Olympics, and asking, “Why can’t the NBA be more like that?” Well, the NBA has adopted another of those wrinkles with the take foul that’s been plaguing fast breaks for as long as I can remember. We all know what I’m talking about. The defense forces a turnover and has numbers on the break only to have the play stopped because the guy who just lost the ball reached out and fouled the nearest guy in opposing colors. Kobe Bryant’s guide to being effective in a one-on-one game and the toughest player for him to guard one-on-one. This is from an interview during his Korea Tour in July, 2011. Full interview from Daebum Son: https://youtu.be/zKbUwcdDyEQ Excerpt from ‘Phil Jackson ‘lost all respect’ for Kobe Bryant in 2003-04 for a very controversial reason’ article by Adit Pujari: After the case was made public, Kobe’s career and life were catapulted into infamy. He was a hated man. His teammates and head coach disliked his style. But the accusations turned into the final nail for Jackson. In his book “Eleven Rings: The Soul of Success,” Phil claimed that the accusations against Bryant opened past wounds. Jackson’s daughter was also a victim of s**ual assault and it is only natural that the trauma of it seeped in when the whole Kobe incident happened. In the book Jackson disclosed how it completely changed his perspective of Bryant: “The Kobe incident triggered all my unprocessed anger and tainted my perception of him. … It distorted my view of Kobe throughout the 2003-04 season. No matter what I did to extinguish it, the anger kept smoldering in the background.” Full article: https://thesportsrush.com/nba-news-phil-jackson-lost-all-respect-for-kobe-bryant-in-2003-04-for-a-very-controversial-reason/?amp 🏷 #oneonone #bball #nbainterview #kobeinterview #kobeinterviews #kobebryantinterview #kobebryantinterviews #bballoneonone #basketballoneonone #oneononebasketball #oneononebball #1v1 #1v1basketball #carmeloanthony #melo

Kobe Bryant describes the first week of conditioning after resting from injury. This interview is from October 14, 2013. Full Interview: https://youtu.be/DHB7ryiJ4m4 Excerpt from ‘Netflix's The Redeem Team: How The Documentary Does Kobe Bryant Justice’ article by Erik Swann: It’s safe to say that everyone knows just how effective the five-time NBA champion was on the basketball court. Today, plenty of people sing his praises, including former teammate Shaquille O’Neal (who admitted he used to push his buttons in order to motivate him). Using footage and sharp quotes from his teammates, this newly released doc does an excellent job of showcasing the late star’s talents. There are a few moments in particular that really stand out. The segment of the doc that’s devoted to Team USA’s game with Argentina (who beat them in the semifinals in Athens). Coach Mike Krzyzewski lit a fire under Kobe Bryant by leaving a newspaper clipping in his seat. Said article asserted that Argentine player Manu Ginobli was the best shooting guard in the world. Needless to say, Bryant took the bait and ultimately dominated on the floor. Bryant’s skills were legendary, and the film certainly doesn’t shy away from making that point clear.
