Kobe Bryant and former NBA star Stephon Marbury meet for potentially the last time. I’m unable to confirm whether or not it is in fact the very last time seeing each other in person. Full interview from Rachel Annamarie DeMita: https://youtu.be/4AcQAos2kHg Excerpt from ‘Remembering Kobe Bryant on 3rd Anniversary of Crash That Also Killed His Daughter, Gianna, and 7 Others’ article by Jason Hahn: During a foggy California morning on Jan. 26, 2020, Kobe, 13-year-old Gianna, and six of their friends boarded a Sikorsky S-76B helicopter flown by pilot Ara Zobayan. The group was flying from John Wayne Airport in Orange County to a basketball tournament at Kobe's Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks. But they never arrived. Zobayan, the Bryants, and their friends — John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Sarah Chester, Payton Chester, and Christina Mauser — all perished when the helicopter crashed on a hillside in Calabasas, just 14 miles away from their Thousand Oaks destination. At the time, Kobe was four years into retirement after winning five championships with the Los Angeles Lakers over a 20-year NBA career. A year-long National Transportation Safety Board investigation later found that pilot error was the most consequential reason for the accident that morning. Full interview from Somewhat Aussie: https://youtu.be/r9w4VGoz3QM Excerpt from ‘Youngest All-Star in the NBA: How Old Was Kobe Bryant When He Beat Out Magic Johnson For the Honor?’ article by Tonoy Sengupta: As per StatMuse, Kobe Bryant was the youngest ever All-Star, doing it at just 19 years and 169 days. To achieve an honor that most finish their whole careers without achieving is incredible on its own. But to be the youngest to do it? That is the stuff of dreams, right there. However, this does raise the question. Who are the people that Kobe Bryant beat out to steal this spot? Kobe Bryant beat out Magic Johnson to grab this achievement for himself Magic Johnson was just 20 years and 173 days old when he achieved this honor himself, which is very impressive in its own right. However, Magic Johnson isn’t the one that places second on this list. No, that spot goes to LeBron James, who did it at 20 years, and 52 days old. To think that this was so close to being yet another one on the King’s long list of achievements.
