Previewing the Oilers vs. Canucks | Oilersnation Radio
Oilersnation Radio, your favourite twice-weekly podcast, is back with a fresh episode to spice up your week and talk all. Get ready for some riveting Oilers discussions and debates. Kicking off the Tuesday episode of ONR, we got started with a delicious debate about whether or not anything concerns us about the upcoming series against the Vancouver Canucks. Given that most pundits have the Oilers winning this series, should we be concerned about the Canucks rolling into the series with an underdog mentality? Sticking with the Oilers, we looked at some of the lineup details that came out this morning. Unfortunately for Edmonton, it looks like Adam Henrique will miss Game 1 with a lower-body injury sustained in Round 1, meaning someone else will need to step up in his place. Changing gears, we looked around the NHL at some of the other series that are already underway and whether there's a matchup outside of our own that we're excited about. We also looked back at Round 1 and discussed whether or not we were disappointed that the Golden Knights got bumped, eliminating any possibility of exacting revenge. Another Thursday has landed on your calendar and that means the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with a brand new episode to help you get through the rest of your week. On today’s podcast, the guys looked at what's going on with the Oilers, Kanye West, and a whole lot more. Kicking off this week’s podcast, the guys got started with a conversation about Tyler nearing vomiting before the podcast started after confessing that he packed away a bunch of penne alfredo before the show. After busting his balls for a little bit, the podcast turned to TV as both Wanye and Jay offered their takes on Inventing Anna as they're diving into one of the latest Netflix trends. The guys also looked at the Kanye West docu-series, Jeen-Yuhs, and how it's incredible to see the process that led up to him becoming one of the biggest rappers of all time. Getting to the Oilers, the guys looked at last night's loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning and how it was incredibly frustrating to watch the team play so well but not get the saves they needed to close things out. From there, the guys discussed Ryan Smyth day that is coming up on Sunday, Feb. 27th, which marks the 15th anniversary of the trade that sent him to the New York Islanders. As you'll soon see, there will be a lot of Ryan Smyth content over the weekend as the crew will pay tribute to the man that was the whole reason this website exists.

Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world. To kick off this week’s segment, we jumped in with a look at last night's loss to the Vegas Golden Knights and how the Oilers looked like they weren't really prepared to play. In all three zones on the ice, the Oilers were sloppier than they have been over the last week or so and that made for a frustrating evening for those of us that were watching. Last night's game also raised the question about whether or not Mike Smith can stay healthy as the veteran netminder appeared to injure himself towards the end of the second period. With no word from the Oilers yet about what happened, we could have yet another goaltending issue on our hands if Smith is out again, but we'll just have to wait and see what actually went down there. Lastly, we wrapped up he segment with a look at the schedule and whether playing more often will allow the Oilers to finally get into a rhythm after having so many extended breaks as a result of COVID postponements.
