The 34-year-old Olympic champion veteran returned to Sada Cruzeiro ahead of the 2021-2022 season after five years playing for other clubs and won his third world title with the Betim side. Two young Lube players reached double digits in scoring in the final match of the tournament – Cuban outside hitter Marlon Yant, who scored 11 points, all in kills, and Puerto Rican opposite Gabriel Garcia, who reached the same amount with nine kills and two aces. “We feel like we accomplished our mission here,” middle blocker Isac Santos reflected. “We knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but we gave everything we had and we earned it. We never expected a 3-0 victory in the final, but we know that when we’re focused, we’re really hard to beat. We approached every match as a final and played with a lot of intensity and focus.” Sada Cruzeiro also dominated the tournament’s Dream Team with four of the seven selected players. Besides Lopez and Wallace, the hosts also had setter Fernando ‘Cachopa’ Kreling and middle blocker Otavio Pinto in the ideal lineup. Lube’s Robertlandy Simon (middle blocker) and Fabio Balaso (libero) and Trentino’s Alessandro Michieletto (outside hitter) completed the team. The triumph was also remarkable for head coach Filipe Ferraz, who captained Sada Cruzeiro to their first three world titles as a player. Appointed as the team’s new coach following his retirement at the end of the last club season, the 41-year-old Filipe celebrated his third title as a coach after victories in the Mineiro Championship and the Brazilian Supercup. “Not even in my greatest dreams could I have expected such a great start to my coaching career," he said. "Winning the Club World Championship after just six months as a coach is unbelievable. I can only thank the club, the coaching staff and the players as they believed my ideas from the first minute and worked hard for it. I’m really proud to continue defending Sada Cruzeiro. ✅ Subscribe ©Titans Volleyball LIFE ➤ https://goo-gl.me/bxJU1 ===================================================== Consar RCM Ravenna vs Allianz Milano | Highlights Italian Superliga | HD La più bella versione stagionale di Ravenna, esaltata dai 26 punti di Vukasinovic e Klapwijk, si arrende solo nella seconda metà del quinto set, dopo essere risalita la china del match dal 2-0 e dal 7-2 per l’Allianz nel terzo set Non basta la serata sontuosa, la migliore fin qui della loro stagione, di Klapwijk e Vukasinovic (26 punti a testa, con il montenegrino che griffa anche due ace e tre muri), alla più bella Consar RCM di questa annata per conquistare la prima vittoria. Dopo la maratona del turno scorso contro Cisterna, la gara più lunga della storia della A1, l’Allianz Milano arriva nuovamente al quinto set e si impone dopo 2 ore e 29 minuti, al Pala de Andrè. Sotto 2-0 e 2-7 nel terzo set, Goi e compagni sfoggiano un’eccellente rimonta, conquistano terzo e quarto set ma si fermano, ormai senza più energie, sul 7 pari del quinto set. Appuntamento con la vittoria ancora rimandato ma il punto conquistato muove la classifica e potrebbe sancire la svolta tanto attesa. Il tutto alla vigilia di due trasferte a Verona (sabato 4) e a Cisterna (domenica 12) che valgono parecchio per la classifica. I sestetti Coach Zanini conferma il sestetto che ha iniziato la gara di Civitanova con Biernat-Klapwijk, i centrali Comparoni-Erati, gli schiacciatori Vukasinovic e Ljaftov. Nell’Allianz non c’è Patry, fermato da un affaticamento muscolare. Al suo posto il campione d’Europa Romanò, opposto all’alzatore Porro. Piano e Chynenyeze sono i centrali, Ishikawa e Jaeschke gli schiacciatori, Pesaresi è il libero. La cronaca della partita Il primo strappo all’equilibrio iniziale del primo set lo produce l’Allianz, che dall’8 pari piazza un break di 4 punti, che si porta dietro fino al 19-23. Qui Goi (congratulazioni a lui per il traguardo delle 300 partite in carriera raggiunto) e compagni prendono un filotto di tre punti e su un errore avversario agganciano Milano a quota 24. L’Allianz ha lo sprint giusto per chiudere il set. Inizio equilibrato anche nel secondo set, con i padroni di casa che ribattono colpo su colpo. Milano allunga al +3 (5-8), Vukasinovic con un filotto di tre punti consecutivi, riesce ad agganciare la parità a quota 10. Nuovo +3 per gli ospiti (13-16) e nuova rimonta riuscita (sul 17 pari) che apre ad un’appassionante fase punto a punto. Sul 21 pari, la terza accelerazione dell’Allianz, propiziata soprattutto da Jaeschke, alla fine il miglior attaccante dei suoi con 25 punti, piega la Consar RCM che non trova più lo spazio per chiudere il buco. La formazione di Piazza scatta dai blocchi del terzo set con più energia (1-4 e 2-7), ma con Fusaro (partito nello starting six al posto di Comparoni) e un tambureggiante Vukasinovic la Consar RCM si porta a -2 (10-12), Klapwijk manda in tilt la difesa ospite ed è -1 (13-14) e Ljaftov perfeziona la rimonta vincendo un duello sottorete (15 pari). Fusaro sottorete firma il vantaggio Ravenna (19-18), Vukasinovic a muro firma il 23-21 e poi va a concludere l’attacco vincente del set. Ed è sempre il montenegrino il protagonista della serata. Il suo ace nel quarto set vale il 5-2 per la Consar RCM. L’Allianz, con Chynenyeze opposto, è sorpresa e sembra avere perso le sue certezze: la Consar RCM trova un preziosissimo break che la manda al +7 (12-5) sfruttando un efficace turno al servizio di Ljaftov (un ace per lui) e non molla più la presa. Un ace di Fusaro e un attacco di Vukasinovic segnano il +6 (21-15) e aprono la strada alla conquista del set. Comparoni per Erati nel quinto set che vede la Consar RCM prendere subito un +2 (4-2), annullato a quota 5 da Milano, poi un gran muro di Porro lancia l’Allianz davanti (6-7), che prende il largo (7-10). Goi e compagni provano a reagire, si portano sul -2 (12-14) ma Milano chiude i conti. Il commento di coach Zanini “Devo fare i complimenti ai miei ragazzi per la partita che sono riusciti a fare. Non era facile risalire dopo i primi due set persi, tra l’altro con una grandissima occasione sprecata nel primo, e invece ci sono riusciti. E’ stata la più bella partita che abbiamo fatto finora, contro Milano che, pur privo di Patry e con Romanò in condizioni non ottimali, ha fatto cose straordinarie.
