Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders both have had a very disappointing start to their 2021 Indian Premier League campaign, but there is one thing that separates the two. Punjab Kings, who won only one of their first four games, played brilliantly to beat defending champions Mumbai Indians in their last game. Contrary to them, there has been no sign of a resurgence by Kolkata Knight Riders, as they failed to perform yet again in their last match, which was against Rajasthan Royals. Considering the forms of the two teams, there is no doubt that the Kings are favourites. However, Eoin Morgan & Co. will do all they can to avoid losing five games in a row. There were six 160+ scores in the T20I series between India and England here in Ahmedabad, which highlights the batting-friendly nature of the track. From the bowlers, spinners are likely to get the most help. Here is the match & stats preview. #IPL2021 #PBKS #KKR This video contains: IPL 2021 Preview IPL 2021 Prediction PBKS vs KKR Prediction PBKS Predicted Playing XI KKR Predicted Playing XI IPL Predicted XI PBKSvsKKR Follow us on: Website - https://www.crictracker.com Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/crictracker Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/crictracker Twitter - https://www.twitter.com/cricketracker LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/company/crictracker Telegram - https://ttttt.me/crictracker
Shah Rukh Khan, the co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), wasn’t a happy man after his team’s performance against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the fifth match of the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL). On Tuesday, April 13, Eoin Morgan and Co lost to the Mumbai Indians (MI) by 10 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, also known as the Chepauk. It also happened to be KKR’s 12th defeat to the Mumbai-based franchise in their last 13 meetings. At one point in time, the Knights, while chasing 153, were cruising. However, the Men in Gold and Purple lost their way somehow and couldn’t recover. The Knights managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory after getting themselves in a commanding position. Shah Rukh didn’t seem pleased with KKR’s performance in Chennai. The veteran Bollywood actor took to Twitter and wrote, “Disappointing performance, to say the least. @KKRiders apologies to all the fans.” Here are the top cricketing news of the day. #ShahrukhKhan #IPL2021 #KKRvsMI This video contains IPL News IPL 2021 News Shahrukh Khan News KKR vs MI News Latest IPL News Cricket News Follow us on: Website - https://www.crictracker.com Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/crictracker Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/crictracker Twitter - https://www.twitter.com/cricketracker LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/company/crictracker Telegram - https://ttttt.me/crictracker
The Northern Warriors clinched the 4th edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League, by defeating the Delhi Bulls in the titular clash by 8 wickets. It was a rather underwhelming face-off, in a league that witnessed a number of high-scoring affairs, as the Bulls could only muster 81 at the loss of nine wickets after they were asked to bat. Some effective, tactical bowling combined with the Bulls’ haphazard approach meant that there was barely a moment when they looked settled to post a score of substance. No more than three of their batsmen – Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Evin Lewis, and Mohammad Nabi – could reach double digits, as the Warriors struck with unfailing consistency. While off-spinner Maheesh Theekshana returned three wickets for 14 in his two overs, Junaid Siddique and Dhananjaya Lakshan bagged a couple each. Solitary scalps for Rayad Emrit and Fabien Allen meant that no bowler went wicket-less, as they restricted the Bulls to a paltry 81. A 22-ball 27 from Waseem Muhammad before Rovman Powell (16 of 8) and Lendl Simmons’ (14 off 12) effort led the Warriors to hunt down the target at the loss of two wickets in 8.2 overs. Earlier in the day, Team Abu Dhabi handed a 21-run defeat to the Qalandars in the battle for the third spot. A spectacular 16-ball 45, including five boundaries and two sixes, from Najibullah Zadran apart from a 9-ball 26 from Paul Stirling guided Team Abu Dhabi to 124/6 even as Mohammad Zahid bowled impressively and claimed two wickets giving away only 10 runs. In response, Daniel Bell-Drummond, who slammed five fours and three sixes in his 19-ball 46, fought alone in the absence of any able support. Both Ben Dunk (13 from 8) and Sohail Akhtar (17 from 14) warmed up a bit, however, Rohan Mustafa and Jamie Overton proved too good for them. Samit Patel, who leaked 46 from his two overs, perished to Mustafa for a two-ball duck. The Qalandars could manage only 103/5 after their 10, falling short by 21 runs to finish fourth. Northern Warriors had another opportunity, facing Team Abu Dhabi in the second Eliminator of the day, and they managed to grab it with both hands. After the Warriors opted to field, Chris Gayle failed for the second time in the day, perishing to Junaid Siddique. Paul Stirling, however, ensured that he did not repeat the performance he put up a little earlier, as he slammed 6 sixes and flew to 48 from just 13. A couple of decent cameos from Joe Clarke and Jamie Overton meant that Team Abu Dhabi reached 114/7 in the face of Fabien Allen’s brilliant spell of 4/13. After a couple of early strikes during their chase, a spectacular 76-run stand between Lendl Simmons, who smoked three fours and as many sixes in his 27-ball 46, and Rovman Powell, who got 49 from 24 with 5 fours and two sixes, led the Warriors to 7-wicket victory and granted them the ticket to the grand final of the league. The first Eliminator – between Team Abu Dhabi and Qalandars turned out to be a fairly low scoring encounter as Qalandars could put up merely 83/7 after being put to bat. Having lost Tom Banton for a golden duck on the first ball, the Qalandars kept losing wickets, thanks to Obey McCoy and Naveen ul Haq, who got two wickets each, giving away merely 17 from their four overs combined. Shahid Afridi (24 from 16) and Samit Patel (16 from 14) dragged the team score towards 80, although it was never enough. During the chase, Team Abu Dhabi lost a few early wickets, too, as Sultan Ahmed removed both Paul Stirling and Luke Wright for single-digit scores soon after the dismissal of Chris Gayle (15 from 8). However, a 19-ball 27 from Ben Duckett alongside Joe Clarke’s 13-ball 22 proved sufficient for Team Abu Dhabi to win by 6 wickets, and knock Qalandars out of contention of the titular clash. Team Abu Dhabi and Bangla Tigers faced each other in the third game of the day, Chris Gayle misfired and perished to George Garton for just 1. However, Paul Stirling’s 32-ball 64 alongside Luke Wright’s 18-ball 27 led Abu Dhabi to post 116/3 after they were inserted to bat. During their response, the Tigers lost as many as 9 wickets for 95 and surrendered in front of Jamie Overton, who bagged a four-for and got good support from Obed McCoy and Naveen ul Haq, who both bagged a couple each. It was a lone effort from Johnson Charles, who witnessed a straightforward collapse as he scored 59 from 23 with eight boundaries and three sixes. There were no other batsmen, barring Tom Moores (12 from 14), who could reach double-digits. Quite unsurprisingly, the Tigers lost the encounter by 21 runs.
