1-7-2021 Passed Ball Show. John spends the first part of his show stating that the Philadelphia Eagles did not lose their last game on purpose. John has maintained his point on how it impossible for a NFL team to tank or lose on purpose. Did HC Doug Peterson make a mistake by playing Nate Sudfeld in the fourth quarter? Maybe. But he was not put in with the intentions of quitting the game. Sudfeld performed poorly, something he should own up to. The Eagles owe nothing to the NY Giants or the Washington Football Team. Finally, John states that the Eagles did not lose the game to better their draft position or to screw the Giants. John then talks about the prospect of Urban Meyer becoming the Head Coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. While it could happen, the Jaguars would be taking a huge risk over whether the All Time Great College Coach can handle not “being the man.” John explains. Urban also has built a reputation of quiting which could be expected if he were to take the Jags job. John loves the idea of the NHL renaming its divisions. It is a great way to incorporate billions of dollars into a sport that has lost a lot of money due to the pandemic. Finally, is DeVonta Smith a top five (or six) pick in the next NFL draft? Once again, he explains.
