After a disappointing game two, the Boston Celtics looked like a completely different team in game 3 of the NBA Finals, taking down the Golden State Warriors with a phenomenal fourth quarter performance and big nights from Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. The Celtics game plan for eliminating the impact of Golden State's perimeter shooting was one of their big keys for success, and it worked to perfection. And offensively, Boston has figured out how to leverage their rim pressure to generate offense. Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks are headed to the Western Conference Finals after taking down the Phoenix Suns in 7 games. The Mavericks' defense was firing on all cylinders in game 7, and the supporting cast of Spencer Dinwiddie, Jalen Brunson, Dorian Finney-Smith, and the rest of the team helped Luka Doncic propel them to victory. Luka scored 27 points in the first half alone, as many as the Phoenix Suns entire team. Spencer Dinwiddie dropped 21 in the first half as well, putting Dallas in the position to win. The Miami Heat took down the Philadelphia 76ers in 6 games, and the Heat are proving all of the doubters wrong. The Cleveland Cavaliers are Building a Dynasty | Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, & Jarrett Allen Big 3
The Cleveland Cavaliers have a big three of Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen. This core is having the Cavs in tight contention for a top 4 seed in the Eastern Conference. The Cleveland Cavaliers have been by far one of the biggest surprises, led my Darius Garland's incredible PG play, and Evan Mobley's defense has him at the forefront of the rookie of the year race. Jarrett Allen has emerged as a potential star as well, having by far the best season of his career. Things in Cleveland this year have defied any and all expectations, and it seems as though everything is clicking for the Cavs. A multitude of things have gone right for them, from their surprisingly reliable bench to some improved coaching from JB Bickerstaff, but the big story has been their βbig threeβ of Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen. Itβs highly unusual for a team to have three players with at least some degree of a case for an All Star selection. Itβs even crazier when you consider that theyβre all under the age of 25. In this video Iβm going to cover what these guys have been doing that makes them so special, and what the outlook is for them going forward as far as building around these three. They also have Isaac Okoro who has looked good. Despite Ricky Rubio going out with injury, he'll be a nice addition once he returns. Meet Desmond Bane: The NBA's Next Great Shooter | The Memphis Grizzlies Secret Weapon
Desmond Bane has been on fire for the Memphis Grizzlies. In the absence of Ja Morant, Desmond Bane was one of the large reasons why they were able to remain competitive and hold on to a top 4 seed in the Western Conference. Now, with Ja Morant back, Desmond Bane is ready to be a bonafide second option, dropping 32 points in Morant's return against the Phoenix Suns. The Memphis Grizzlies have been one of the league's great surprises this season, going from a play-in team last year with a lot of young promising pieces, to this year taking the leap from fighting on the edge of the standings to now solidly contending for a top 4 seed in the Western Conference. And while youβre probably well aware of the Grizzlies main pieces with Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr, and supporting guys like Dillon Brooks, Steven Adams, and DeAnthony Melton, thereβs one player thatβs been having a monster season that you probably need to start paying a lot more attention to. And thatβs Desmond Bane. Bane has been absolutely lighting it up this season, and heβs a large part of why the Grizzlies were able to have so much success even when Ja Morant was out for an extended stretch of games with injuries and COVID. Last night, he dropped his career high 32 points in an absolutely wild win against the higher seeded Phoenix Suns.
