Mont Dore France

We hadnt been skiing for over 20 years. Drove down to the le Mont Dore resort in France. Done hardly any getting fit for it, This is not advised.... We went on the spur of the moment.. Weve all done it eh.. So off we set for the slopes. We both got the new boots, Goggles suits and skiis that we bought off ebay for a tenner each.. we lasted 3 days befoer we had to be sensible, Well we had to get out of the resort camping site as there was heavy snow fall forecasted. So we had to leg it before we couldnt get out. We headed off to the Holidays homes in the Land of a 1000 lakes, Limoges area A few things had to be sorted out there before heading back to the uk in 8 days. Took about 3 hours doing 60 mph.. Parked up that night by Saint Junien area with hardly any snow about, Nexy morning woke up to over a foot of snow. Got stuck here for 3 days, Crayzee eh. The skiing was bang on, Camp site was 2 mins walk from the free ski bus that took you to the Runs. The centre ville at just a 3 min walk. Wicked atmosphere here, Plenty of bars restaurants Swimming spa center shops etc, even a Cassino.. Well worth a visit.
