Deschamps hopes injured Pogba can 'sort out all his problems' after France squad announcement
Christopher Nkunku and Ousmane Dembélé were recalled Wednesday to France's national team, as coach Didier Deschamps announced the squad for upcoming European Championship qualifiers against Gibraltar and Greece. France tops the Group B standings in qualifying after back-to-back wins against the Netherlands and Ireland. The two-time world champions take on Gibraltar in Portugal on June 16, then host Greece three days later at the Stade de France. Nkunku, who plays for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga, has been sidelined for months due to a knee injury while Barcelona's Dembele missed a series of games due to a hamstring problem. Deschamps will be without the injured Paul Pogba and N'Golo Kanté, with William Saliba also missing because of a back injury.

Stephen Curry scored 23 points and Andrew Wiggins had 16 in a collective stinker for the Golden State Warriors who fell 127-97 to the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday to trail 2-1 in their second-round playoff series. The Warriors committed 19 turnovers and never mounted a response to the Lakers on either end in the second half. Golden State went 13 for 44 on 3-pointers — making just 10 while the game was still competitive — after hitting 21 in each of the series’ first two games in San Francisco. Draymond Green had two points in 23 minutes while playing with foul trouble. “As ugly as this was tonight, we have an opportunity to respond on Monday, so there’s no point in dwelling on it and hanging our head and getting discouraged,” Thompson said. “We know how to respond. We’ve done it in our existence for 10 years here.” Game 4 is Monday night in Los Angeles.

Frenchman Pogba is yet to feature for the Serie A side since re-joining the club in the summer after undergoing meniscus surgery. Chiesa has been ruled out for the second game in a row. Massimiliano Allegri's struggling Juventus could only manage a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their play off against Nantes in Turin last week, leaving the Old Lady with work to do at the Stade de la Beaujoire. Dusan Vlahovic had given Juventus the lead after 13 minutes, but Ludovic Blas levelled for the French side – who sit 13th in Ligue 1 – on the hour mark.
