Well lads... we bottled it. Again. This time, I don't think the team as a whole played terribly aside from a couple of shaky moments in the first half, but we sat back, invited pressure, and eventually conceded from Tzanev taking a double free kick... wow.
The season just gets more and more nerve wracking, as AFC Wimbledon are now... I lost count - 23 without a win? Jeeeeez. That last game against Sheffield W. could have been a draw or even a win if Assal had finished a 1v1 with the Keeper, but alas, we conceded a last minute winner. Now is the time to get after it against an inconsistent Charlton side. COYD!
I failed to mention Mebude who came on as a sub and drew a few fouls… played well. Anyway, what an emotionally stimulating game that was. The Dons peppered Charlton with plenty of crosses and a few decent chances, but unfortunately they couldn’t leave it late.
I promise I'm not dead, I've just lost a bit of motivation as of late to upload... but Boys... a lot has transpired since our defeat against Cambridge. Mark Robinson has been SACKED, or rather, mutually agreed to a departure from the club, and we IMMEDIATELY replaced him with Mark Bowen. Extremely excited to see this signing, as Bowen has loads of experience as assistant managers with some big clubs like Crystal Palace, Southampton, and has even gotten Reading out of the relegation zone a few seasons ago as a manager. Sheffield Wednesday is no slouch, though, and it'll be a tough task at Hillsborough...
Yet another loss. That’s 21 games without a win now for AFC Wimbledon, and only made worse by Gillingham defeating Accrington Stanley away from home 2-1 today. This is an extreme concern, and as someone who is generally pretty optimistic, I cannot help but be on the Robbo out train right now. Just… f*ck sake, man. I express my thoughts here. Listen to me ramble and rant if you’d like.
Well, I'm back home now after a fantastic trip to the UK that exceeded expectations. The Dons go up against a Cheltenham team who are on decent form - their wins coming against relegation candidates, however. Two teams that are prone to conceding goals, this one could get ugly fast.
(00:00 - 09:35) Analysis (09:35 - 15:01) Robbo out? My take & fan reactions Oh boy. This is probably the worst game we've played under Mark Robinson, although I feel the Oxford 5-0 defeat was worse considering our depleted squad against Bolton today. Who played poorly, who played well? How do I feel about Robbo going forward? I express my thoughts here.
We've continued to revert back to our old ways of scoring first then giving up the lead... the defensive woes have to stop. The late ...
Well... another game where we score first bites the dust.
What a woeful end to what I thought was a good performance by the Dons. Last 10 mins, we switched off... shame. (00:00 - 08:17) ...
Another 0-0 draw, our 6th of the season. Take it as you wish - glass half full being we are still hard to beat, or glass half empty ...
