Marlon Johnson dropped 37 points on the Windsor Express leading the Sudbury Five to a 116-114 win. Jarius Holder hit a pivotal three-pointer and the plus-one late in the fourth quarter to give the Five a lead they would not relinquish. Quinnel Brown led the Express with 23 points in his return to Windsor. Sudbury improves to 20-6 while Windsor drops to 7-9
The Brock Badgers beat the Windsor Lancers for the first time this season 6-3 Wednesday night to take a 1-0 lead in their best-of-three opening round series. The visiting Badgers built a 4-0 lead 22 seconds into the second. Brennan Feasey led a comeback attempt and pulled the Lancers to within one but Jared Marino scored the backbreaker with 2:11 left. Brock hosts Windsor in game 2 Friday with a chance to clinch.
