The short-lived Slovak Soviet Republic was declared in southeast Slovakia under the leadership of Czech communist journalist Antonín Janoušek in the city of Presov on June 16, 1919. It would be crushed by the Czechoslovakian Army on July 7, 1919. #OTD #Slovakia
