Mikulčice is a municipality (obec) in the Czech Republic, situated 7 km south of Hodonín, nearby the Slovak border. It extends for 1,530 ha, comprising 1,955 inhabitants in 623 homes, and a biospheric reserve, containing beavers and storks.

It lies approximately 7 kilometres east of Gać, 8 km (5 mi) south-west of Przeworsk, and 32 km (20 mi) east of the regional capital Rzeszów.In the years 1975–1998 the town administratively belonged to the Przemyśl voivodship .

The Mikulčice Archaeopark is centred on the site of Valy or Na Valech, which is to the east of Mikulčice and immediately adjacent to the river Morava, which forms the boundary between the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The site of the Acropolis would have been a low-lying island in the Morava, which has now been canalised.
