A small 14-year-old Chinese girl, Quan Hunchan, did the impossible at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Specializing in diving from a 10-meter platform, she collected ten after ten, leaving no chance for her rivals. While everyone was wondering what kind of Olympic school made her such a machine, Quan was driven to win a gold medal because of her sick mother. After a serious car accident, the woman required expensive medical care. And the reward for first place was more than enough to cover these needs. Hunchan is a girl from a small village. Thanks to China's national sports program, her talents were discovered and put to good use during her training at the Olympic School. Quan was ready for anything: the final jump, the final ten, and the victory. There was a quiet celebration with hugs, as everyone on the Chinese team knew what was at stake.
