Le cinque triple su 12 tentativi sono la ciliegina su una prestazione mostruosa per intensità. Max Strus se la ricorderà a lungo. 💚Tatum e Brown con 27 e 24 punti fanno la loro parte soprattutto nel momento di spaccare la partita nel primo tempo poi più che altro gestiscono. Gli Heat escono dai blocchi con più energia e fiducia, Vincent e Herro mettono tiri ad altissima difficoltà e così dopo 4 minuti sembra già che ci sia la prima fuga sul 8-18. Tatum però non ci sta e prima di andare in panchina con 2 falli apre il 7-0 che rimette in ritmo i Cs che poi chiudono la rimonta con 2 triple di Brown e Pritchard per il 23-21. Il finale del quarto con i Celtics perfetto che scappano martellando gli Heat dalla distanza che porta Il 35-24 di fine parziale. Il secondo tempo è se si può ancora meglio del primo, gli Heat non trovano risposta al movimento di palla dei Cs che trovano sempre il tiratore libero di punirli. La prima fuga vede i biancoverdi a +19 (47-28) con Tatum che inizia a prendersi la scena. Nonostante qualche rimbalzo offensivo di troppo concesso il punteggio di allarga sempre di più toccando anche il +29 prima che nell’ultimo minuto un paio di layup facili sbagliati regalino un mini break di 6-0 a Butler e compagni. L’ultima conclusione di Smart regala il 70-45 con Boston che ha tritato con il 58 dal campo e il 63 da dietro la linea dei 3 punti. Il secondo tempo inizia con Boston che tiene difensivamente e riesce anche a guadagnare qualche punto fino al 80-53 quando Smart sbaglia un facile layup, da qui in avanti una serie di errori clamorosi al tiro e l’improvviso risveglio di Butler che tocca quota 29 porta il pubblico e Miami in partita sul 82-65. Tatum e Smart però non ci stanno e con un finale di quarto deciso rimettono i Celtics in totale controllo della partita con il punteggio che recita 96-71 a 12 minuti dalla fine. Pronti via subito Smart che continua a dare il ritmo alla partita e per la prima volta i biancoverdi toccano il +30. Con 10 da giocare il pubblico abbandona gli spalti giusto il tempo di vedere altre sue triple di Smart e Brown che spingono il punteggio al 115-83. AFC Cup: Gokulam Kerala vs Mohun Bagan 4 - 2 Riding high on their successive I-League triumph, Gokulam Kerala FC stunned ATK Mohun Bagan 4-2 in a six-goal thriller in their AFC Cup debut at the Salt Lake Stadium here on Wednesday. In a battle between the two heavyweights of the top-tier ISL and the second-tier I-League, Gokulam Kerala dished out a much more compact and technical display than Bagan. Fresh from winning an unprecedented I-League double at the same venue last Saturday, Gokulam Kerala led the way with their Slovenian centre-forward Luka Majcen (50', 65') striking a brace. Rishad Puthanveettil (57') and substitute Jithin Subran (89') slammed one each to seal three points and give a reality check to the ISL giants and the local favourites. Mohun Bagan showed some spark with goals from Pritam Kotal (53') and Liston Colaco (80'), but their defence, in the absence of Sandesh Jhingan and Tiri, who was stretchered out after sustaining an injury in the 40th minute, crumbled in the second-half. The win also gave the Malabarians an early advantage in securing the only available berth from group D for the AFC Cup Inter-Zone semi-finals. Playing in front of a strong home support, ATK Mohun Bagan squandered many chances in a dominating first half. Fijian star centre-forward Roy Krishna missed back-to-back opportunities in the 18th minute -- first a one-on-one from Liston Colaco's cross and then from Joni Kauko's assist, when the ball came off the inside of the post. In the 29th minute, Kauko had a shot at the target from inside the box but the Finnish midfielder hit straight to Rakshit Dagar, as Gokulam Kerala had anxious few moments to begin with. The two-time reigning I-League champions were cautious to start with in their maiden appearance in the continental showpiece, resulting in a goalless first half. For the Mariners, who made an inter-zonal semifinal exit in the last edition, those were the few chances they had as the tables turned after the break. The Vincento Alberto Annese-coached side struck thrice in the space of 11 minutes to virtually close out the game. Gokulam's in-form Majcen, who was the team's top-scorer (13 goals) in the I-League, led its second-half domination to force Mohun Bagan defence into submission. It was Emil Benny who initiated the move from outside the box to pass it on to Thahir Zaman on the right, setting it up for Majcen's strong finish. In an action-packed second half, Mohun Bagan took just three minutes to equalise when Colaco's corner found Kotal right in front of the goal. Four minutes later, their I-League final hero Rishad slotted into the left-bottom corner from a brilliant counterattack. Majcen completed his double after Jourdain Fletcher won the ball from substitute Ashutosh Mehta to give a through ball to the Slovenian, who capitalised to make it 3-1. Colaco reduced the margin with a stunning freekick to give the crowd a ray of hope, but Jithin came off the bench to score from a delightful one-two with Majcen to seal the issue in Gokulam's favour.
