The Alpine Formula 1 team is looking for its fourth team boss in six years following the news Marcin Budkowski has left with immediate effect, with Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi taking day-to-day control on an interim basis pending the appointment of a replacement. Budkowski was to all intents and purposes the Alpine team principal, and his departure leaves it needing fresh leadership ahead of a season when it hopes to take a big step forward.
