Los Angeles Clippers signed DeMarcus Cousins & New Orleans Pelicans signed Isaiah Thomas The LA Clippers announced that the team has signed center DeMarcus Cousins to a 10-day contract. Cousins, 30, holds career averages of 20.8 points, 10.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.2 blocks in 590 appearances with the Sacramento Kings, New Orleans Pelicans, Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets. Originally the fifth overall selection in the 2010 NBA Draft, Cousins is a four-time All-Star, a two-time All-NBA Second Team member, and an Olympic Gold Medalist with Team USA. A native of Mobile, Ala., Cousins appeared in 25 games for the Rockets this season and averaged 9.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 20.2 minutes. Isaiah Thomas has signed a 10-day contract with the New Orleans Pelicans, the team announced on Saturday. Thomas, 32, last played on Feb. 3, 2020 as a member of the Washington Wizards. The veteran guard was traded three days later to the LA Clippers, who then waived him. Thomas suited up for a pair of FIBA AmeriCup qualifying games for USA Basketball in February, recording a team-high 14.0 points and 2.5 assists per game, while shooting 43.5% from the field and 50% from long range. In nine career seasons, Thomas has averaged 18.1 points and five assists per game. He will wear No. 24 for the Pelicans.
