The hosts started strong, with Thomas Walkup hitting back-to-back triples for an 8-2 lead. The game turned into a three-point contest, with both sides firing on all cylinders from deep as Sasha Vezenkov bagged 13 first-quarter points for a 28-23 lead after 10 minutes. Olympiacos’s second unit stepped up in the second quarter, with the Reds getting 26 points from the bench, as the hosts outscored Monaco 31-8 for a 59-31 advantage at halftime. A double technical foul just before the break saw Mike James get ejected, and Georgios Bartzokas’s side took its foot off the gas in the third quarter before sealing the outcome with a strong finish in the fourth. Nine Olympiacos players scored at least 5 points, as Vezenkov led all scorers with 21 and Evan Fournier added 16. Kevarrius Hayes paced Monaco with 11 points in a losing effort.
