Nikola Jokic was good, but not good enough to carry the team with their 34.7 field goal percentage, 20.7 3 point percentage and 61.5 free throw percentage. Jokic was the leading scorer with 16 points followed by Jamal Murray at 15, Paul Millsap at 14, Malik Beasley at 13, and Gary Harris with 12 points. Damian Lillard, like the Nuggets was a bit cold shooting and only finished with 14 points. The Blazers leading scorer was C.J. McCollum who had 20, and a toe for second between center Enes Kanter and Rodney Hood. The Nuggets had 23 offensive rebounds, and a total of 58, more steals, and one less turnover but couldn’t buy a bucket to save their life. Zach Mettenberger finished the day with 174 passing yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions. QB Philip Nelson suffered a shoulder injury, and 4th string QB Alex Ross after throwing a beautiful touchdown proved to be significant downgrade at the position, basically costing San Diego the game. Punter returner Ron Brooks took a punt back for a touchdown. The Iron lost to the Commanders. Running back Trent Richardson had one rushing TD but just 15 rushing yards, and QB Luis Perez managed another game without a touchdown pass, and two interceptions. Garrett Gilbert almost put up 250 yards in the Stallions snow game. Wide receiver Charles Johnson had 9 catches for 105 yards and finished as the top scoring fantasy player this week. The Atlanta Legends also got their first win behind the arm of Aaron Murray, the leading passer for the week with 254 yards after Matt Simm suffered a pinky injury. Murray was also the Legends leading rusher. The Commanders Kenneth farrow was the top rusher with 154 and express linebacker Drew Jackson was the best defensive player this week. 14 tackles, one interception and a sack.
