My Calgary Flames In Four - Games 49-52 (S03E10)
Heading into the stretch drive for the Calgary Flames during the 2020-21 NHL Regular Season. Depending on the day and mood there's either still a chance or not for the Calgary Flames to get into the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the 2021 season. They had an opportunity to close the gap on the team that they we're homing in on in the Montreal Canadiens with a three game series at home. Looked like the Calgary Flames we're almost able to close the gap on the Montreal Canadiens by winning the first two games but dropped the third game making the playoff odds slimmer. However there's still a chance as the old line in Dumb & Dumber say. The Calgary Flames also finished off this segment against the Edmonton Oilers with a win. As per my planned uploading schedule the last two episodes will be four game recaps. The number of games are still out of sync however I explain in the video and where I take a look ahead to the next episode that those games that got postponed will be recapped and made up in the next episode. Also for the final time this season my mini-segment with Stockton Heat Quick Hits. The Calgary Flames farm team plays out their season which was a 30 game season in the American Hockey League. Time for another episode recapping how the Calgary Hitmen did during the 2020-21 WHL Regular Season or should say the games that they we're able to play. Still intend to keep on my planned upload schedule the Calgary Hitmen actually only got to play two games in this recap segment. Recall I made a video talking about the Calgary Hitmen having their activities suspended due to one player testing positive for COVID-19 hence postponing and rescheduling games in the Central Division. Unknown if those games that are postponed and will get rescheduled as of this upload. My Calgary Hitmen In Six - Games 7-12 (S03E03)
Time to do the next recap with My Calgary Hitmen In Six recapping games 7-12 during the 2020-21 WHL Regular Season. Before I recap the games I go over when my plan to make the following episodes for the rest of the season as the schedule has been released for the rest of the season. Calgary Hitmen had a stretch of six games where they've played the top teams in the Central Division with the Edmonton Oil Kings and Medicine Hat Tigers. Just like the previous episode I feel that the Calgary Hitmen have struggled on the penalty kill as they've allowed a power play goal in five out of six games. Right the now Calgary Hitmen are in the middle of the pack with the other WHL Alberta based teams. My Calgary Hitmen In Six - Games 1-6 (S03E02)
After waiting over 362 days since the last Calgary Hitmen game. Time to return with My Calgary Hitmen In Six for season three on recapping games for the 2020-21 WHL regular season. This season with the current COVID restrictions still in place, the Calgary Hitmen will only be playing the Alberta based teams on weekend sets. So far the Calgary Hitmen only played the Red Deer Rebels, Medicine Hat Tigers and started their weekend set with the Lethbridge Hurricanes at the end of this episode. Another thing to note that the Calgary Hitmen will be playing their home games not at the Scotiabank Saddledome but the Seven Chiefs Sportsplex at Tsuut'ina Nation as the Calgary Flames and Stockton Heat playing in the Saddledome to accommodate COVID requirements. Still too early to gauge the competition for this season but it looks like that the Calgary Hitmen may have a hard time with the other Alberta based teams. This season will only be a 24 game season and don't think there's even going to be a playoff. My Calgary Flames In Six - Games 7-12 (S03E03)
Back with another episode in My Calgary Flames In Six. This time I take a look at games 7-12 during the 2020-21 NHL Regular Season from a Calgary Flames point of view. This segment of games I feel that the Calgary Flames have shown some inconsistencies but can also hang with the top teams in the North Division. Would say that the Calgary Flames have had played more of the top teams in the first part of schedule when compared to the other divisional teams in this North All Canadian Division. This episode featured a lot of the Winnipeg Jets as part of the five game road trip that the Calgary Flames we're on. As well the first of ten Battle of Alberta match-ups with the Edmonton Oilers. Also worth noting that the Calgary Flames have been getting much of their offense from their top forwards including Johnny Gaudreau, Sean Monahan and Elias Lindholm. Matthew Tkachuk keeps doing his thing as well and Jacob Markstrom keeps proving to be that stud goaltender that the Calgary Flames have missed since Miikka Kiprusoff retired. Other tidbits that happened during this game recap. Chris Tanev might of scored the blooper goal of the season where he scored a goal from his own blueline against the Winnipeg Jets. Will make his first goal as a Calgary Flame memorable. Also Blasty made his return with the Calgary Flames with their reverse retro jerseys worn for the first time.
