Many people say Mbappe is the fastest footballer alive, but he’s actually the fastest human alive and here's why. Scientists recorded Mbappe’s speed in a PSG game and compared them to Usain Bolt’s times. The results were so insane you won’t believe them. Bolt is regarded as the greatest sprinter of all time and holds records for the 100 and 200 meters races. When scientists used software to record Mbappe running 40 meters down the pitch to score a goal, the findings were crazy. Mbappe was recorded running to goal at an average pace of 37.6 kilometers per hour. His peak speed was 38 kilometers per hour which easily beat all of his defenders. Mbappe’s average speed translates to 23.36 miles an hour and when comparing the results to Bolt’s statistics, the findings were even more insane. Bolt ran at an average pace of 37.57 kilometers or 23.35 miles per hour. This means Mbappe is faster than Bolt and could beat him if his sprint was lengthened from 40 meters to 100 meters.

Why is the NBA creating a new basketball? During the 2023 All-Star game, the NBA revealed a see-through basketball that doesn’t need to be inflated. Scientists have tried to create better basketballs for years, but could never come up with a solution. Scientists used a new method called additive manufacturing which uses 3-D printing to build perfect shapes like the spheres used to make basketballs. The NBA found a company that used the technology to build rocket ships and asked if they could build them the perfect ball. The ball has the same weight, size and bounce as a normal basketball. So why wouldn’t the NBA just keep the ball they already use? The new ball can be made more efficiently since it’s built in one piece by a machine rather than glued together in parts by a real person. The ball is also made perfect every time so there’s no wasted materials thrown away. Since the new ball has no air pressure, it will look, feel and play the same wherever a game is being played. Air pressure changes how a player shoots or dribbles and having a ball without air in it will take away those risks forever.
