Feni keeps the perfect home record with good defense MKK Feni Industries continued to play very well and to win at home. The Kavadarci team hosted KK Sutjeska and performed good from the second quarter onwards to take a big 80-55 victory. With it Feni secured at least the second place in group B as the teams holds the tie-breaker advantage over Sutjeska. The Montenegrins will surely finish third in the standings regardless of the result in the last game against Trepca. The visitors played good in the first quarter and led by 6 at the end of it. However after that Feni stepped it up on defense and allowed only in the next three quarter. Just before the break the hosts took the lead and increased it to 9 points after 30 minutes. The match was finally decided with 13-0 run in the fourth period which made the difference 20 with less than six minutes to play. Feni scored a total of 11 three-pointers from 32 attempts compared to just 3 of 22 for the visitors. This turned out to be the big difference between the teams as Sutjeska couldn′t recover. Matija Ceshkovic had another good game for Feni finishing with 24 points. George Sharabidze had a double-double with 18 and 10 while Jane Petrovski had 11 points. Sutjeska had no player who scored in double digits. Zdravko Boskovic and Jermayne Thomas had 9 points each while Djoko Salic added 8.
Big second quarter run makes it two in a row for Sutjeska KK Sutjeska recorded its second straight win in group B of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The team from Niksic hosted SK Tirana tonight and took 77-61 victory. The home side made a big run in the second quarter which helped to build a good advantage as after that a comeback for the visitors was very difficult. However they didn′t stop fighting and made the game interesting until the end. Next week is a rest in BIBL as after that Sutjeska will host MKK Feni Industries while Tirana will visit Karpos Sokoli 2000. The game was very even and close in the first 15 minutes. Then in the span of only three the hosts made a great 17-0 run to pull away by 15 points. At the break the difference was 13 points and Sutjeska controlled the game after that. In the last four minutes of the third quarter however the visitors made a 10-2 run to close the gap 7 points and give themselves a chance. In the fourth period the hosts kept leading while Tirana kept trying to cut the deficit even more. With 2.33 to go a Djokovic triple capped an 8-0 run which took the advantage to 15 points and decided the outcome. Goran Gajovic was the top scorer for the winners with his 23 points. Djoko Salic also played well with 21 points and 7 rebounds as Marko Perovic added 14 points. Endrit Hysenagolli had another double-double for Tirana finishing with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Genti Lasku and Abdel Gjyzeli also did well scoring 10 points apiece.
