In der zweiten Hälfte fehlte auch Bayern die Durchschlagskraft. Erst in der 60. Minute hatte Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting die erste Chance. Frankfurts Trainer Oliver Glasner wechselte in der 64. Minute Daichi Kamada ein und bewies ein gutes Händchen. Der Japaner trieb das Spiel der Eintracht sofort entschlossen an und fand in der 69. Minute Kolo Muani. Der ließ sich die Chance nicht nehmen und traf ins rechte untere Eck zum 1:1. Frankfurt war plötzlich die dominierende Mannschaft. Die Eintracht hatte durch Djibril Sow (74.), Mario Götze (84.) und Rafael Borrè (90.+3) gute Chancen, doch konnte sich nicht belohnen. So blieb es beim leistungsgerechten Unentschieden, bei dem Bayern in der ersten Hälfte dominierte und Frankfurt in einer starken zweiten Hälfte ausglich.
