Banyana Banyana were crowned the champions of Africa after beating tournament hosts Morocco by two goals to one last night at a packed Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah. The South Africans goals came in the second half through a brace by striker Hildah Magaia before a late goal by Morocco gave the hosts a glimmer of hope. That goal came too late though, as the stingy Banyana defence remained strong and kept the Moroccans at bay till the final whistle and the South Africans won their maiden continental title.
