Coach Frenchy does another live stream play-by-play tonight. He does the game between the Washington Capitals vs Florida Panthers. Reinhart's late goal completes Panthers rally against Capitals Scores Florida's fourth in the third period with 14.4 seconds left; Ovechkin stays on No. 749 Sam Reinhart scored a power-play goal with 14.4 seconds remaining, and the Florida Panthers rallied from three goals down in the third period to defeat the Washington Capitals 5-4 at FLA Live Arena on Tuesday. Reinhart scored short side under the blocker of Ilya Samsonov from near the left face-off dot. Ryan Lomberg, Eetu Luostarinen and Sam Bennett also scored for Florida (15-4-3), which outshot Washington 27-2 in the third period. Sergei Bobrovsky made 23 saves. Beck Malenstyn scored his first NHL goal, and Samsonov made saves 46 for the Capitals (14-4-5), who had their three-game winning streak end. Alex Ovechkin did not score, remaining one shy of the power-play goals record and No. 750 in his NHL career. Lomberg made it 4-2 at 3:23 of the third period, shooting into an open net on a rebound. Luostarinen then cut it to 4-3 at 6:09 on a shorthanded breakaway, and Bennett tied it 4-4 at 12:01 when he tipped Aaron Ekblad's shot from the point on the power play. Connor McMichael gave Washington a 1-0 lead at 5:52 of the first period when he banked the puck off the back of Bobrovsky's leg from behind the net. Malenstyn scored 11 seconds later to make it 2-0, converting on a one-timer off a pass from Brett Leason. Joe Thornton cut it to 2-1 at 6:55 with a tap-in into an open net after Samsonov stopped Ekblad's shot from the point. It was Thornton's 1,355th career point, moving him into a tie with Mark Recchi for 12th place in NHL history. Lars Eller extended Washington's lead to 3-1 at 6:40 of the second period when he skated around Ekblad and tucked a backhand inside the right post. Nick Jensen made it 4-1 at 12:40 with a shot from the high slot that hit the stick of Panthers forward Anton Lundell.
