Colts place Darius Leonard on reserve/COVID-19 list; LB will not play vs. Cardinals Another key member of the Colts has been sidelined for Saturday's game. Linebacker Darius Leonard has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Leonard is unvaccinated and will therefore miss 10 days -- including Week 17's game -- due to his positive test. Receiver Zach Pascal and safety Khari Willis were also placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Indianapolis elevated six players to fill the open roster spots, including receiver Keke Coutee and cornerback Brian Poole. Leonard's absence deals a significant blow to Indianapolis' defense, which heads into Saturday night's contest with the goal of containing Kyler Murray and Arizona's explosive offense. Leonard is coming off a game in which he finished with 10 tackles (including one for loss), intercepted Patriots quarterback Mac Jones once and keyed a strong first half that propelled the Colts to a win over New England. Without the two-time first-team All-Pro (who recently earned his third Pro Bowl selection), Indianapolis will have to turn to its backup defenders to fill the void left by Leonard. E.J. Speed returned a blocked punt for a touchdown against New England -- his second such achievement of the 2021 season -- and is listed behind Leonard on the Colts' most recent depth chart. The Colts are already entering Saturday's game without its three interior starting offensive linemen, losing guards Quenton Nelson and Mark Glowinski to the reserve/COVID-19 list. Center Ryan Kelly will miss the game due to a personal reason. Indianapolis (8-6) will hope to find a way to continue its hot streak despite the personnel losses against Arizona (10-4) on Christmas night. Kickoff is at 8:15 p.m. ET exclusively on NFL Network.
