Red Bull zet wheelgun "in quarantaine" na pitstop Verstappen,'Porsche dichtbij deal met Williams'
Porsche gaat mogelijk alsnog haar intrede doen in de Formule 1 vanaf 2026, ondanks de afgeketste deal met Red Bull Racing. Max Verstappen leek een eenvoudige overwinning tegemoet te gaan tijdens de Grand Prix van de Verenigde Staten, maar tijdens zijn tweede pitstop ging het behoorlijk mis. De wheelgun bij zijn linker voorwiel haperde, waardoor hij kostbare tijd verloor en achter Charles Leclerc en Lewis Hamilton terechtkwam. Robert Doornbos juicht voor Nyck de Vries: “Hij reed Latifi echt zoek”
Nyck de Vries heeft afgelopen weekend tijdens de GP van Italië een goede indruk achtergelaten. De Friese coureur scoorde in zijn debuutrace in Monza meteen punten voor het team van Williams en kreeg vanuit alle hoeken van de paddock lof voor zijn aanpak. Ziggo Sport F1-analist Robert Doornbos zat juichend op de bank te kijken hoe De Vries zijn gelegenheidsteamgenoot Nicholas Latifi helemaal zoek reed. Our verdict on the Red Bull AlphaTauri Dutch GP F1 conspiracy theory
Mercedes found itself in the thick of a fight for victory properly for the first time in 2022 at the Dutch Grand Prix, and almost inevitably that resulted in a Red Bull-related controversy flying around after the race. Mercedes’ gamble on a one-stop strategy at Zandvoort was on course to leave Lewis Hamilton in the lead of the race after Max Verstappen’s second scheduled pitstop. But Verstappen was able to retain the lead thanks to a well-timed virtual safety car period, which was called when Yuki Tsunoda’s AlphaTauri stopped on track for a second time.
