LeBron James Injury Update | Is His "Ankle Soreness" Concerning?
NBA and Lakers injury expert Dr. Raj, DPT details LeBron James injury update - delving into the ankle soreness LeBron has been dealing with since his return from a high ankle sprain (syndesmotic tear) - causing him to leave vs the Raptors after his normal rotation in the 4th and not close the game and sit out vs the Denver Nuggets in a back to back - and if the soreness is anything to be worried about right now or moving forward | LeBron James injury update | Is his “ankle soreness” concerning? | LeBron injury breakdown For reference, I’m a DPT (Doctor of Physio), youth basketball coach, sports scientist, movement expert, researcher, mindfulness enthusiast and owner of 3CB Performance —providing sports medicine, performance, and mindfulness services online and in-person at clinics in West LA and Valencia, CA. Feel free to hit me with questions and/or you can always find me on my website or follow on social media: Website: https://www.3cbperformance.com/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/3cbPerformance Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/3cbperformance/ Here’s a table of contents: - 0:00 The lead-in - 0:14 Ankle soreness or setback - 0:33 Any reason for worry? - 0:54 Availability status - 1:04 Next steps - 1:17 Outro Script: Welcome it’s Raj from 3CB. Lakers superstar LeBron James left the court vs the Toronto Raptors after his normal rotation in the 4th quarter - not returning to close the game - and was held out of the back to back game vs the Nuggets last night as well. Following the Raptors game, Coach Frank Vogel described the issue as “ankle soreness that is expected” and the next morning Shams also described it as ankle soreness. Woj called the issue a “reaggravation” which was likely due to a lack of medical nuance from sources. So is there anything to be concerned about? LeBron’s ankle soreness is completely expected and part of the reacclimation process, especially since he didn’t complete any practices or 5v5 work prior to jumping into games. That increase in intensity comes with a response and he further said he had soreness in both 2nd halves which makes sense because now you’re dealing with higher stress over time. Coach Vogel again reiterated last night that Bron is day to day and only dealing with soreness with Lakers reporter Mike Trudell explicitly saying there was no setback. This is all part of the process, Bron will continue to get treatment and be day to day with the Lakers managing his workload, esp on back to backs which Coach Vogel said prior to LeBron coming back. The team is telling us everything we need to know, we just have to listen.

Talking to Star Sports, Warner said, I don't know how to take that. Two of us got set, my run out, Jonny stepping on his wickets, and false shots in the middle proved that if you don't have two guys at the end, you don't win. These scores are very chaseable, it's just poor batting.' Warner Also spoked about New Zealand Batter Kane Williamson.
