November 2018 vom alt- und ehrwürdigen Wildparkstadion mit einer wahnsinnigen Pyro-Aktion verabschiedeten, haben sie heute beim Heimspiel gegen Ingolstadt mit einer weiteren Pyro-Aktion den Wildpark gefeiert. Non pare la serata migliore per i canarini e lo si intende dai primi minuti di gioco, quelli in cui un Gubbio più spensierato e libero da patemi di classifica, impone il proprio 'crredo' al Barbetti e la propria rapidità di manovra. La promozione in serie B è 'congelata' per il momento: a Gubbio finisce 1-1. La mossa a sorpresa di Tesser, ovvero Azzi centravanti, non paga e Ponsi (schierato nella linea difensiva) soffre e non poco le incursioni di un bravissimo Arena. Il Gubbio va vicino alla rete del vantaggio al 23' con il tiro da fuori di Di Noia che proprio Ponsi salva a pochi passa dalla linea. Al 29' è il tiro di Arena a finire di pochissimo a lato. Al 39' ecco il Modena con il palo esterno colpito da Gerli dopo la bella sfera offerta da Armellino. Sul finire del primo tempo, Tremolada sciupa in maniera banale una punizione sulla trequarti cercando uno scambio ravvicinato, il Gubbio recupera e va in contropiede conquistando un corner: svetta Ridolfi sull'azione e di testa trafigge Gagno al 45'. Nella ripresa Tesser cambia tutto: dentro Longo, Mosti e Ogunseye e Scarsella più tardi. Magnino flirta con il pari ma la sua conclusione è respinta da un difensore in area. “E’ finita si dice alla fine”.
