Do TPI bikes foul plugs? Sensor problems? The TPI air screw mod? How does TPI KTM or Husqvarna compare to the carb models? The TPI bikes typically have a softer bottom end power delivery, but similar top end. The main reason is a softer ignition curve, but the location of the injectors also contributed due to a reduced opportunity for fuel/air to mix properly at low revs. So this is a TPI review. Some models have spluttered at low revs. But the carb models can have problems too. Since 2017 the jetting has caused spluttery power and poor fuel economy. We will talk about TPI sensor problems soon. The finicky Mikuni carb is extremely difficult to get running consistently. Both carby and TPI bikes respond very well to basic mods. And once set up correctly both have very similar power delivery. Do TPI bikes need rebuilds more often? We suggest top end rebuilds every 80 to 100 hours maximum for a 250 or 300. The TPIs are especially sensitive to top end wear as blow-by past the rings will begin to alter the crank pressure readings sent to the ECU. How reliable is a TPI bike? Generally they are reliable but there have been issues with some of the 17 ECU maps released by the factory. Some caused problems, others have been much better. We find the TPIs are reliable once a few basic mods are done. The most important mods? Incorrect TPI air screw setting. This is used to adjust the idle speed, but it has effects on midrange revs too. Remove the stock grub screw and fit a longer bolt that can be adjusted by hand while the engine is running. Incorrect settings result in a weak or hanging idle, spluttery power delivery, and poor throttle response. Use the latest extreme mapping from the factory, which uses more oil. And fit an idle bolt, which allows separate tuning of the air and idle settings on the throttle body. Lets look at specific issues. Has a lack of oil caused problems? On some TPI models, yes. Fouling spark plugs. A lack of oil can cause significant wear up the back wall of the cylinder, usually centered over the rear boost port. You can check by removing your exhaust and looking at the back wall of the cylinder for vertical black or grey marks. The 2018 and 2019 models used a reasonable amount of oil, although some used less than others. The oil tank did not have a screen in it so it was important to clean the tank and test the output of the oil pump. 2020 models had a screen fitted to the tank but unfortunately the mapping used less oil, causing a high number of failures on low hour bikes. The factory has now released new extreme maps. These bring the oil level back to roughly the same level as the 2019 bikes, Fouling plugs at startup. This emerged with 2020 and 2021 models. A simple solution was to pull out the cold start knob on the side of the throttle body when starting the bike cold, and let it idle for a few minutes before touching the throttle. A more permanent fix is to update the ECU with more appropriate fuel maps. The ECU reflash that we offer addresses this issue and virtually eliminates plug fouling. If you consistently foul plugs you can use the cheaper NGK BPR7ES or BPR8ES plugs. These still perform very well but at a fraction of the cost. Remember if your bike suddenly starts fouling plugs it might be a worn top end or a faulty crank pressure sensor. Spluttery power at lower revs. Some 2018 and 2019 KTM and Husqvarna TPI models had spluttering and unpredictable power delivery at part throttle and lower revs due to issues with the stock mapping. The only complete solution is to reflash the stock ECU with improved maps. But it pays to check other possible causes first: a faulty crankcase pressure sensor, an incorrect air screw setting, low fuel pressure, or a worn top end. Do I need to replace the oil pump regularly? Generally the oil pumps are very reliable unless they get dirt or grit inside them. As mentioned the 18 and 19 models had no oil screen and were susceptible. Faulty Crankcase Pressure Sensors (CCP).The ECU uses the data from these sensors to determine the fuel, ignition and oil needs of the engine. But it will usually be fine at higher revs. The easiest test is to swap the crankcase pressure sensor with the ambient pressure sensor as they are identical. More info? Visit More info? But let’s focus on the game and go deeper into what actually happened. What up everybody, my name is Stefan and this is Heat Check. Let’s get into it. This win could have been a lot more convincing, as you see all of these completely wide open looks that the Bucks shooters missed which were generated primarily off of the attention or the gravity as they call it in the NBA that Antetokounmpo has. You would think that Brooklyn is in pretty good shape here as they have him doubled with both KD and Patty Mills on him, but he pivots away and look at how the entire defense is around him under the basket. Check out how wide open Connaughton is outside. Giannis does make an incredible pass with his superhuman athleticism, and the Nets were lucky that Pat missed this. Even tho Grayson Allen shot 3 for 10 from outside, I fully expect him to be above 40% this season if he’s going to have this type of looks with nobody around him. If you see the boxscore and you see Pat Counaghton with 20 points, this is exactly the reason why. Open 3’s along with great cuts to the basket are gonna get you a lot of easy points on this team. And Khris Middleton was also a problem for the defense. Pay attention to all the different guys on him. First we got Jevon Carter. Honestly I don’t even know how and why he ends up guarding him as Middleton just raises up as if he’s shooting over a chair. Nothing but net. Then in transition a slower guy like Aldridge bites to the slightest movement and has to protect the basket, leaving an open midrange shot for Khris and we know he’s automatic from here. Similar thing with Blake Griffin. Much quicker than him, so we got the dribble staredown, before the jab and the stepback creating a lot of room for this shot and of course it goes in. Next up, yet another defender trying to stop him. James Johnson right here gets hit with the 1 dribble pull up, the bucket and the foul. And then check out the footwork on this play against Kevin Durant. The nice low dribble, the half spin into a fadeaway shot that’s cash money baby. REKLAMA Moving on, I want to emphasize the effort that Milwaukee displayed on the defensive end. As spectacular as this block looks by Antetokounmpo literally eating up this dunk attempt by Claxton, as well as some of these other blocks that you’re watching right now- it’s not about the flash with this team. It’s always about effort and execution, as every player knows his exact role and gives maximum effort to execute the game plan. And that’s how they limited Brooklyn to 17 out of 43 from the paint, that’s 39.5%. And that’s championship level defense. Watch the awareness from the help defender, knowing at this very moment that this pick and roll will lead to an open lane for KD, as he slides quickly to get into position, go up vertically and perfectly contest this shot, getting the block which opens up a semi fast break, and with Kevin Durant trailing this play Milwaukee already has an advantage, we got the pass to Giannis, the swing to the wide open Grayson Allen and the triple. And speaking of the guy who got the block. Introducing Jordan Nwora. A 23 year old sophomore who only played in 30 games last year with 9 minutes per game. Obviously Budenholzer has trust in him especially with Holiday leaving the game and Nwora used that in the best possible way. He was great on both ends of the court, and despite shooting the ball well and ending up with 15 points, I love his attitude. Not showing any signs of nervousness or fear against a tough opponent, dude was extremely confident taking shots, and putting pressure on the defense. Switching gears and going over to the Brooklyn side of things, I did not like their effort in this game, and it looked like they weren’t just outplayed but they got outhustled, which if you’re Steve Nash, you’re definitely not happy about that.

FIBA World Cup MVP 2014. 2x USA Basketball Gold Medalist (2016 Rio Olympics, 2014 Spain Basketball World Championships). Kyrie is the most fearsome finisher in the NBA today. His handle is arguably the best in the league. He really does have relentless range, and his creativity and ability off the bounce make him one of the world’s greatest at getting you a bucket (any kind of bucket), whatever the defense, whatever the situation. Add to that his fearlessness, ferocity, and the force and finesse with which he can finish, and you have the foundation for one of the most explosive offensive player in the league. Throw in easily the most outstanding off-hand in the game, and you’d be hard pressed to find a way to stop him. Kyrie’s 50-40-90 season is obviously exceptionally special but the way he did it: 61% AT THE RIM, 54% in the midrange, 40% from deep while only attempting 27 corner 3s (all per Cleaning the Glass). The reason it ends with a few assists is because the clips from before there were crowds had very little energy - the highlights were cool BUT the flow was sort of getting stunted. Kyrie has way more left handed assists than this but I threw a few in to make sure the video ends with some *pop*.
